Scruff and Spud

It’s lovely to hear how well the boys are doing.
Their confidence is also a compliment to you - they trust you and feel safe

Thanks merit slave
They have discovered the delights of wilco dandelion mix
☺️
They really love it

Spud is a licky pig
Wonder why that is
He has taken to licking my hands and nibbleing them
Hes a funny piggy

Velvet is a licky pig too. She always has been right from when I first got her nearly 3 years ago.

The boys are quite settled in nicely
My house feels more positive now theres pigs in it
It makes a big difference doesn't it. When I first started renting (14 years ago, blimey!) I had a hamster and two gerbils, but after they died I was in a succession of places that didn't allow pets. Now I'm in my own house I took the plunge last September and adopted some guinea pigs; knowing I have to look after them makes me more disciplined and less self-oriented. It's also nice that there are other living creatures in the house instead of just me!

Scruff and Spud have hit teen age stage
They still deciding who is the alpha so there have little dominence tussles
Lots of but sniffing/rumble strutting on Spuds part but nothing really serious
There has been some teeth chattering but not sure why that is
Any Thoughts

I have sows but sounds normal behaviour to me.
Don’t worry unless they have a serious fight and draw blood.

Scruff and Spud love their play pen that i got from pets at home a few weeks back
They get out to play every day and they love the freedom of playing in there

Licking is nothing to be worried about.
Licking is simply just a sign of love.
Another reason why your guinea pig(s) are licking your hands is because there is salt on your hand (from sweat). It's totally normal that guinea pigs lick your hands.
