There not longhaired but they do get scruffy bums. Usually when she tries them with some new veg.

As for the rabbit i have no idea. Hopefully he has taken my freshfields advice. The amount of rabits on gumtree is shocking though!

I'm at the vets on Sat with Bilbo for his meds review so i will check on Pogle and the others again. I'm off then so i will try Pogle and Percy together for a few hours. If it doesnt work hes coming back with me to try mine.

It is very sad she does not make sure they are clean. Why does she have them if she cannot do these things?

Oh I get so upset looking at all the rabbits on gumtree. People are so stupid not to spay their rabbits. They never want the babies so why not ensure they are spayed.malletheadmallethead I wish it was a legal requirement.

Oh and the ** wone is semi long haired and fluffy so will need grooming. Which obviosuly hasnt been done. He was more...dusty than anything else :(

Isnt it better you just keep him then? It does not sound like he will get the care he needs.

yo tell me. Ive said to her several hundred times it is NOT enough to simply feed them and clean them out they need other things to.

Once i checked them and they all had mites which was unnoticed. Also fungal mouth from apples, again unoticed. Percy also had ringworm which one of mine caught. all of which sorted by me and using my stuff again.

I suppose it's just lucky for the piggies i'm around to ensure they are ok.

It is REALLY frustrating though.

I know you will probably kill me for saying this but do you think she should have animals? I think they should be taken off her as they could have been so unwell with mites. If it were a stranger we would call the rspca so I do not know what you can do about your own mother. Unless you take them off her and get them rehomed? It would mean you would not have to worry about them too. I am sorry to say that as I know she is your mum. :(

I completly agree I'm afraid. If it were up to me i would take them all away. All i can do is keep checking on them. I have Also registered them all in my name at my vets, will register pogle on sat.

You are in a horrible situation. Why do people get animals and not care for them well? It breaks my heart. :(

Hopefully the baby will take to one of mine. I reckon Bilbo will be a good personality match with him. So at least that is one away from her.

I asked her to walk me the bus stop round the corner before ans she said "no I'm tired" i said like hang on a min ive come here after a 8 1/12 hour shift and sorted your piggie with my stuff yet again and you wont even walk me the bus stop. Unreal!

Oh that is so mean. She is lucky you even see her. I do not think I would bother. Good idea to try the baby with bilbo.

Bilbo is a really chilled piggie and has accepted my other boys but they dont accept him. hopefully t will be a match.

And yeah i have had several periods of just thinking right ive had enough of this and not spoke to hear for weeks but at the end of the days it comes back to the same point. I'm not around they could potentially be suffering. So what can i do.

I did briefly leave this site when percy had the ringworm after a certain member caling e allsorts but ho hum. I'm always the bad guy i guess.

My mums boyf used to keep piggies. 100 at one point so he does chip in with them and so does my brother.

Why did a member call you names? Was it because of your mum not taking care of her piggies? Gosh that must have been upsetting for you. I would have probably cried! If you are keeping your mum in your life for the animals then why not take them off her? You could even tell the rspca. I know she is your mum but you care about her animals so much and want them to be well. You cannot be responsible for them all when you have your own life to lead.

after i treated percy for the ringworm i came home and stripped got in the hot shower and put my clothes in the wash before going anywere near mine. didnt want them to catch spores of ringworm off me.

Fast foward a few days after me obsessivly checking mine dailey bingo David has ringworm. The only thing i can thnk of not cleaned is my shoes. When i wa spicvking out the dead hair off hi he did a flying leap off me and lost his top tooth. So i had to hand feed him on top.

I told my mum to take Percy to mine for a second bath/check up as i had anything he may need in my piggie cuboard. She kept arseing me around over bringing him. I planned on keeping him btw. She probably knew that. So i decided to leave her to it. Told her what she needs to do and stepped back. One of mine suffered through her inaction and that was to far for me.

Then i get called allsorts for not helping percy and stepping back despite the fact i tried my hardest. I also got told off by mods for retaliating to insults.

After 3 months of not speaking. Her boyf had dealt with the ringworm thankfully.

I'd love to take them all i really would. I wont report her because i'd still be worrying about were they go to. So all i can do is get there as often as i can check them and offer help/ advise.

Oh you poor thing having to deal with all this. I know you would be worried about were they would all go but surely the rspca would ensure they went to loving homes? Shame we cannot break in when she is out and steal them all.

I wouldnt want them to go with the rspca i do not agree with there policy!

To be fair she does look after them to a point. They are fed well, cleaned out regular, and exercised. When you open the front of percys cage he does a leap out and goes for a wander, have to watch him though he can open doors!

It's jsut the medical side of things. She has said before she is scared of hurting them while bathing/checking! Ive said well we are all like that at first but as you get used to it/more confident you learn as you go sort of thing.

Wow how did he learn how to open doors!

Oh right well you know best. What is it you do not agree with the rspca? I do not really know anything about their policies.
