hi - I'm new to the forum ! I've found so much helpful info and now I have a question of my own.
My lovely guinea pig (male 8years old ) is pretty sick at the moment with a URI. He has now been put on Septrin and I'm giving critical care powder via syringe, started today . I'm wondering if I should give the anti biotics right before his food or before ? Finally his breathing has settled after 4 weeks / 3 visits to the vet - the last one of which was Friday when I ASKED for Septrin as I had read on here that it is best for URI's (he has 10 days of Baytril with no improvement ) it's a long story but I feel we have not had xompetent care from our vet. ANY advice is gratefully received .. I know he is an old boy but he has always been very healthy and if he had been given septrin in the first place , I'm pretty sure he would be better now.
