Oh I am so pleased for you! I was sad when your signature changed. I must have missed your rainbow bridge threads.

Wonderful news! Can't wait to find out more!

It just happened that we got a shed (mum bought a new house and the shed is pristine but she doesnt want it and its a very good quality sturdy one that has been looked after ... bazinga! even better is that she is only over the road so we can dismantle and carry it home) so the piggies will have a shed and we're having a 9x4 brick shed rebuilt starting in august so both the pigs and buns can have good solid spaces (they'll likely share the brick shed, buns on floor, pigs on a "shelf" cage build higher up inside the shed) and we can have storage for all their stuff outside. I'm excited <3 getting to keep pigs and keep the space we need for the humans inside too <3 I thought I wouldnt be having pigs there just happens to be a pair going into Pixie rodent rescue but their current home is near me so they're coming here as "fosters" but we all know that means ill keep them <3.

In a 2 bed house there just wasnt enough space for all the animals stuff and the humans without having to permanently "share" spaces which doesnt work out well with allergies for us really and as we have plans to expand the human population within the house that would just get worse! But the sheds are the perfect solution ... combination of a 10% bonus (so spending ahem £800 out of it on the brick outbuilding - its part of our house extension plans anyway but we wont be able to afford the rest for a while), a free wooden shed and our builder being free means I can keep pigs forever muhahahahahahahah ... sorry a bit waffley but I'm excited as the brick shed will be dry lined and insulated properly with an electrical supply eventually so its ideal really.

I am quite excited about the "expanding the hooman population news...." Xx

Really good news, I'm just about to take measurements for the wood for my new hutches. ;)

Excellent plans Bekki :) I do agree its hard to "share" spaces, especially when children come along :)

My baby brother (uni student) is moving in so needs our second bedroom :-) only over the summer and at xmas though but yes the plan is to have a mini hooman at some point also either our own or adopted depending on the way things work out.

I cant see a bale of hay lasting long with a toddler trying to attack it haha nor a C&C working with both a toddler and a terrier trying to get in :D I like having the pigs and buns inside. I do not like their bales of bedding, bales of hay, bags of food, spare accessories all over the place as we have no storage other than one wardrobe for big things .... on that note next years bonus will go on flooring the loft and putting a ladder in. I dont like not having pigs and house space was the major thing saying no more pigs but a pair isnt so bad, and my current bunnies only need a litter tray (previous ones needed full cages covering as they went everywhere no matter what) so it should work just fine, plus mums new house has a green waste bin over the road which ill dump soiled hay in. It would appear for once thigns are going quite smoothly :D

Look at those precious boys! So glad you're taking them on straightaway so they don't have to spend any time in rescue.

Oh they are gorgeous! I love the (don't know the technical name for the colour) pepper-grey one! Do they have names?

They dont have names from me their current owner has names for them but I dont like them, the boys have done the rounds on freeads and their current owner has them in a 4x2 C&C but doesnt want them anymore because shes now working longer hours and doesnt feel like she can manage them.

I think the grey is called silver agouti @Goth Mummy :-) they're the same colours and pepper and george were but with less white on them partly why I was drawn to these fellas I think.

Oh that's sad that their owner who has them in a large C&C cant keep them anymore, I was thinking that their accommodation looked nice from the photo and assumed it was your set up!
Beautiful colours. It would be nice if they could find their permanent home with you. I have a pony who has been passed around free-ads and given away free on facebook, its really sad when that happens to animals.

I'm thinking Rupert and Paddington but its open to change, having had so many rescues and fosters etc to name I'm a bit short of normal names :-) but Milka would suit the brown one but no idea what would go with that (Pepper has been used)

OMG they are lovely Bekki! You must be very excited now. Can't wait for their gotcha thread. So pleased they have ended up with a great home with yourself.

I shall post a thread :-) need to sort their cage, happens I sold all my pig stuff really so meh we shall see what I come up with :-)

Oh Bekki - that was rather rash of you to sell everything! Do you still have that lovely timber joiner built hutch that you renovated?

Nope I dont I sold it on at a profit :-) I still have a solid indoor base and some tatty grids so I have something that can go in the spare room until the shed is erected and I build in a cage, ill just be making a 4x3 shelf in the back of the shed and putting a front on it - essentially going to look like a hutch without a roof so it will be fine :-)
