PiggiePooh
Adult Guinea Pig
Dont tell my husband but I have just ordered some more correx, grids and vetbed so that I can make the piggies cage bigger :<> They are going to have a palace
Shhhhhh - I am going to adopt two more guinea pigs from the RSPCA, and my hubby is NOT tickled at all, to put it mildly!
The new cage has just arrived, so I can arrange a house visit now; and hopefully collect them next week. (Fingers crossed!)
One has to feel for our long-suffering OHs, though - being plastered up with pigs and cages! And, in my case, asked to build houses, platforms, ramps and runs...
Good luck with breaking the news!
Maxy wouldn't know how to build a house and I'm not allowed to do it as I would literally kill muself doing it...
However, he (yes he) said we need a bigger home for more piggies...![]()
I can well imagine that! They must have been in constant apprehension!
My OH probably blaims this forum, although, in truth, I have been "broody" before that. Actually, ever since my Mam-in-law has gone difficult about me bringing my "messy" pigs on our weekend visits to Wales. It's become easier to leave them at home in the care of a neighbour...
But he has just agree to outfit the new cage, a bit grudgingly, but enough to merit a BIG kiss!
Perhaps you can find one on this forum?
Though, in defense of your OH, better make sure he is warned! And knows he comes first with you (or at least THINKS he's first...)
I keep my eye out in the rescue pages on here incase one comes up in need of a home so fingers crossed I will have one someday![]()
lol men are funny creatures, good job we have the piggies to keep us sane (no offence to any males on here)
My Oh has remarked on occasion that he would like to come back as guinea pig...
Angeladeedah, we are QUITE jealous! But then, who would cry even more than we when one of the piggies dies? Or go behind our back and sneak them some food?
Could you tell me where you got your correx ,am having trouble findingit. Thanks.
Hopper Haven in Redditch (Worcestershire, just off the M42 southern end of Birmingham)) have bonded groups. At least one Himalayan boar with two sows that have been on the rehome for months, and some long haired ones desperately waiting to be rehomed as well.
Unfortunately, they bond in cross gender pairs and only rehome them together; but you could ring them up and ask. They usually got quite a number of pigs.
I got Llewi from them; his wife-to-be had babies, so he was free...
