@MissBubblegum this is the sort of thing I was looking for a huge thank you. image.webp
I hope to have a C&c set up one day but I wanted one of these too if I was to go away and I needed to take them to my sister or friends to look after and if my boys have a big falling out

Last week I saw a gorgeous boy for sale on one of these sites, by himself in the smallest PaH cage :( I wanted badly to adopt him but I'm maxed out with guinea pigs here and could do nothing but pass him on to a rescue or something, which doesn't help the poor thing in the first place to be constantly carted round like that. If I was able to find him a home to try bonding I'd have considered it, but not the case :(

It's heartbreaking isn't it :( but there is only so much we can do and there is only so many piggies we can personally have sadly :( We need to be able to give 100% to the ones we already have

No Problem :D i saw a few people post about it in the store cages thread so ordered one myself a few days ago as i get my piggies in a month so want to be prepared! when you look at the product photos it looks easy to take off 1 side and attach 2 together for a 238cm cage for under £75! bargain!

The root of this cause is ultimately pet shops, who don't give appropriate care advice or sell appropriate cages, etc. At least we can help more piggies than we can adopt by helping people on this forum! That is definitely good. Myself and many others have benefitted hugely from this, and subsequently so do our pets :)

I re homed 2 boys from the adoption centre at p@h .. they were in a glass cage hardly any room .. We've had them now about 18 months and they are very happy and have a great life here .. so there are happy ending .

I now avoid all pets shop & P@H and internet sites. I'm at my maximum with piggies and can have no more... I don't want to ignore but I don't want to keep going back staring and wishing....
