Ok so..last week? The week before? I was putting together some vivariums for 2 of my snakes and of course the locks I had for the doors didn't work. So off we went to the little local pet shop down the road. (Can you already see where this is going? Lol!)
Anyway I pick up my lock and have a browse around the small animal section, where I come across a lovely little golden agouti Abby mix girl and a sweet little white pig with dark smudges on her face, this little white pig is the cutest looking baby! Anyway, I say to myself "I hope they don't sell the 'pretty' pig and leave that white one all on her own.."

I thought about her for days after..as it turns out, the lock I bought didn't fit correctly and I had to return it today. And who do I see? You guessed it, and as predicted...now totally alone. The only other piggies are males the other side of the room with shelves of stock between so they can't see her or she them.
I know they're just going to replace her if I buy her, I know I'm perpetuating the cycle...I know.
But just look at her.. if she hasn't sold Monday then chances are I will bring her home. After she's quarantined she will have 6 buddies to live with. I'd hate for someone to buy her as a solo piggy. I got a better look at her too today and she has lovely silver agouti and cream markings!

She is gorgeous, exactly the sort of pig I would choose. I'm afraid I'm the wrong person to hit you with common sense and tell you to walk away. it is sometimes difficult to listen to your head and not your heart when it comes to piggies.

I checked and they open Sunday's so yeah... I guess miss Misty is now a full fledged member of the family! :xd: she looks healthy enough but I've set her up in quarantine for now although she can still hear the others which is a step up from isolation I guess.

Anyway here she is! In all her beautiful glory :lol!:

Me too haha the others are already chatting away to her although she seems rather overwhelmed but that's ok, I'm sure once she's introduced to the rest of them she will relax.

Well a rather small nose has poked out to snatch a few pellets, she doesnt seem too sure of her veggies yet and hasnt touched them, but she seemed overjoyed to hear the others screaming the house down for theirs as she was popcorning under the hay :lol!:

Maybe she has never had them before?

Quite possible. She had a whole carrot and whole stick of celery in with her which were only slightly nibbled. I'm out of celery but she's got a little carrot.. along with some red pepper, fennel, spring greens and a little bit of lettuce. I've no idea of she's ever seen any of that before so it'll probably take her a while. I'm sure she'll work it out when she's in with the others though.. They're like a pack of wolves when you bring the veggies out!

When its dindins and I throw veg in their general direction you would think that my 5 piggies had never been fed! (they are very well fed)

10 means you go into double figures,it's a slippery slope for there on,(said she who now have 43.lol).

43! Oh my god I'm jealous haha when I was in college I had 16...I promised myself id refrain from becoming a crazy guinea pig lady a second time round and yeah...that didnt go to plan!

Haha! I know that feeling, I feel slightly mugged every time I feed them lol

She is gorgeous and has landed on her paws with you thats for sure!

Isnt she lovely? :luv: Thankyou, thats very kind of you to say!

Well of all things she's eaten some of the aubergine I put in there last night and she's nibbled a small amount of cabbage and red pepper. She's had a good handful of grass though.

Looks like she's settling down for a nap after her busy morning. :)

Such a pretty piggy! :luv: How exciting to have welcomed another sweet little friend into your home. Congrats.

She certainly tucked into her veggies this evening. Cabbage, purple sprouting broccoli leaves and a little more aubergine was gone within an hour and she sat happily out in the open while the hair dryer was running :) I think she's going to be a fantastic little addition to the herd.

Guess who's off to the vets today! I really do have great luck :lol!: although I'm glad she is here with me where she will actually get medical treatment rather than who knows where..

I have no idea what's going on with her ear but hopefully it's easily sorted/not harmful. Lumps are out of my comfort zone, I was waiting for a URI or a patch of fungal to show up. But we got swelling instead. Which is a shame, I hope her little road trip doesn't affect how well she's been settling in.
