Gus & Rufus
New Born Pup
One of my boys has recently had a really swollen willy. We took him to the vets two weeks ago as his willy was out and had really swollen and was red, the vet told us this was quite common in guinea pigs, they gave us some meta-cam to add to his water, which we have done. The vet also showed us how to clean it properly and how to push it back in, so if it was to happen again we wouldn't need to go back. Since then, Rufus' willy has come out every day, every day we have cleaned it and put it back and either later that day or the next morning it is out again. I rang the vets and they said to keep cleaning it and putting it back in . I just wondered if any one else has had this problem, if they have, did it stop? Do you have any tips? I don't want to hurt him by keep touching it but I also don't want it to get sore and infected by being out.
