Senior Guinea Pig
I posted this pic on another thread but something else happened last night that (well, to me anyway) was really amazing.
Rosie and my daughter have a special bond; Rosie has never been my biggest fan. Rosie is the last of my "original" group of piggies since I moved house 4 years ago - they were all between 5 and 7.5 in the last year and it has just been that time if you know what I mean.
In the last fortnight we have had signs that Rosie is winding down though she has had a UTI which hasn't really helped. She is a complete minx and will NOT take her antibiotics from me at all but for some reason she will take them from my almost 3 year old.
Rosie comes running over when my daughter comes into the room and runs away when she sees me. We had to move the piggies out of their C&C cage as Becky was trying to climb IN! She eats out of Becky's hand and turns up her nose if I try to feed her. She squirms out of my arms when I try to syringe her some extra water, she run over to the cage door to drink from a syringe that Becky gives her.
Last night my other half heard a funny noise in the hallway about midnight. He thought it might be mice again. He went out to have a look and found Rosie, who had managed to get out of her cage (my fault, I hadn't closed it properly when I'd given them their hay) and was lying having a snooze outside my daughter's bedroom door. x)
