Rosie pig passed away about an hour ago. We both gave her a cuddle before she stopped breathing

What a lovely picture, I'm so sorry Rosie has passed away, my daughter is the same age and has an incredible love for the piggies so I'm sure it will be upsetting for you to see her pain as well as your own sadness x

Thanks everyone. It's hard but Becky doesn't really understand yet. We took her to the vet today to be cremated. Becky said goodbye to her and then as we were walking out she said "they will look after my Rosie". She hasn't asked after Rosie again so I think she realises she won't be coming back.

Oh no, how sad I'm sorry she passed away.
I hope your little girl is ok, I know people say children don't really understand but I think maybe deep down they really do, I think sometimes they don't say anything for fear of upsetting their parents, I know my girls don't mention things when they know I'm upset.
