Just felt this tiny spot / lump on Pippin. All white , totally on the surface or so it feels like... I think I will make an appointment and get this checked out but wondered if anyone had any thoughts/idea? I will add a zoomed in pic next 20190524_174725.jpg

It feels almost like one of my chicken pox scars....

Where abouts on her is this? Generally little lumps can be fairly benign, although a vet appointment won't do any harm. Providing there's no growth, it's not in an essential area and it doesnt feel hot or look icky, its likely to be something harmless 😊

It is on her back near her hip area... took me a few mins to locate it again today! Not red, icky or anything but when I touched it - to see if she would react - she did - I did do it a few times... will monitor it then make an appointment just to get it checked out #mystery

Hope it's nothing to concerning!
Hi I see you are in Nottinghamshire - just wondered what vets you use? The closest to me that i had to to use for Gladys was the Vets for Pets inside Pets and Home and the 2 vets I saw were very good but I don't have a regular vet and none listed in the section on here for Nottingham...

Don’t know how close it is to you but have you tried Arnold & Carlton Vets? I believe they are exotic. Also there’s an Ark vets in Chilwell, not sure if they’re exotic as the Ark I go to is but it might be owned by a different chain. Hope that’s at least a little helpful :)

Thanks. I have just been online and spotted the Arnold & Carlton one says they are exotic so I will give them a call tomorrow. There are plenty of vets around me but you never know how much they know about piggies...I will look at the Ark one too - Thanks @Little Ones

I work at a vets so take all my piggies there, medivet hucknall. They're mostly a dog and cats vets but have done fine by my piggies so far! Ive heard good things about Eastwood vets for pets for piggies, and a vets in Matlock has their own piggie specialist!

Up-date on the weird lump - took her today to the vets - no change in the lump at all since I originally posted - Vet said ' It's nothing ... he was a locum - not very nice if i am honest! So I will just monitor it like I have been doing.... so still none the wiser...

That must be so frustrating when you try to do everything a caring and responsible owner should.
Keep us posted

Admittedly the vet wasn't a Cavy savvy one and I do have the details for one that is about an hour's drive away but I will just monitor it and see how we go. Any change at all and she will go and see someone who knows there stuff!

Craig at Chine House is excellent if you do need a knowledgeable vet. It's north Leicestershire so depending on your location in Nottingham it shouldn't take too long to get to
