Junior Guinea Pig
Really sorry for loads of questions, did try and google/research but just found small snippets of info all over the place. Do you have a permanent thread on this? If not here goes with my questions - we've just finished giving pebbles her regular short, back and sides trim and butt bath (long haired guinea pigs!) and noticed her fur is covered in what looks like specks of black pepper. They don't move and are regularly spaced apart. Is this hay mites/static lice? I told my daughter it was hay dust to stop her crying about it but they dont brush off! If so, Can I just treat it or do I need to take to vets? Ideally I'd like not to take to vets as just recovering from taking hamster to vet with suspected tumour only for it to be diagnosed with a full food pouch! If so Could I treat them with lice and easy? And would I need to follow any special cleaning regimes? Because I really don't do enough cleaning! Unfortunately My daughter does have a tendency to go from guinea pig to hamster so is there any chance it can spread to pingu our latest hamster addition? Final questions nearly there - can it b transferred to humans or effect them My Daughter has a lot of allergies I really need to b a little bit Careful. Actually I'm surprised there were so many do u know how long It takes to spread My daughter is normally hyper vigilant - shocked she didn't notice during her I'm pretending to b a vet sessions! Sorry for war and peace!
