Junior Guinea Pig
Yipee, its the weekend which means its only one and a half days before I can collect Colby and bring him home to join my girls.
I'm preping up ready, building a corrall with my spare grids for them to meet in on neutral territory.
Just getting the pet carrier ready for him and was wondering, usually I fill the girls carrier with newspaper and then lots of fluffy hay on top so they can eat and bury themselves in it if they get scared. But, when I spoke to his fosterer at the beginning of the week he still had his stitches in so I am wondering if I should put vetbed in instead in case the hay iritates/pokes his sore bits?
Am I just worrying too much? Never had a guinea pig who has had surgery before so I might be over-stressing.
Any advice gratefully received
