Stripe and Chesney

Guys, big news. I sat on Mom's lap over five minutes and let her stroke my back the whole time! I laid down and even put out my back legs! She was thrilled!

Then I zoomed.

Then I crawled back on her lap and gave a little nip so she thinks I wanted to go back in the cage.

What an exciting morning!

Today Stripe jumped up and down on my lap, popcorned while he was on there, but didn't want to settle down and be stroked. That's okay. He had a bout of hiccups, but he's fine now.

Here he is, he always gets forage after his playpen.

Just cleaned cages. The boys would really like it every other day, but every three days is good for me. Chez did some zoom laps around then settled under his clean fleece. The boys are usually settled for a couple hours after cage cleaning, Stripe doesn't even ask to come in the playpen yet.

Gosh darn it, Chez is pooping on the coroplast.

Hi guys, mom opened a new box of small pet Select hay and it was skinny. She noticed my pile didn't go down much in the night. I don't like it. She put some in my paper bag and I still didn't like it. She's worried I didn't eat much in the night.

Luckily she saved an old bag of orchard hay that's got an expiration date of 2027 and smells fine.

I'm eating that now.

She never thought I'd be fussy! But here we are. I just didn't like the skinny hay so she's going to try and get a refund.

I settled on her lap this morning.

It's just skinny strands of hay, I'm not sure why, I've never had that with them. Neither boys liked it and I'm worried they didn't eat for ten hours while I was sleeping.

I have another box coming tomorrow, hopefully it'll be better, for now they are enjoying their orchard. Good thing I didn't throw it away like I thought of doing but I thought it might come in handy.
 
Here we are being neighborly.

Mom said she can tell we're really enjoying the orchard hay. She said my poo looks bigger, so she's gonna go get a couple bags.

I'm just doing a couple popcorns. Haven't even thought of the playpen yet.

IMG_20250914_070241457.webpThis is me begging to come in the playpen. Right after a cage cleaning. Yes, I'm happy to have a clean cage, I popcorned and zoomed. But I want to go in the playpen! Mom says "after the laundry" that'll take 45 minutes! She pokes me and says "no, stripey" and leaves the room.

Chez was bad for his health check.

Guys I was zooming in my playpen and my leg got caught. Mom thinks I'm walking okay but I'm just a little surprised so I'm lying down. I went on her lap for comfort. I don't feel like zooming anymore. I'm on observation for any limping. I just want to chill in the playpen. Mom really wants to see me walk but I'm just a little shocked.

Mom is pleased. She was giving us snippets of fresh grass and we ate them very carefully without nipping her fingers even though we were very keen to eat them as quickly as possible because grass is delicious ❤
