Survivors Group Therapy

Hi everyone, I let mom's nephews hold me and they said I was soft. One said I was tired and mom didn't have the heart to say I just might be a little scared. I kinda went deep in my snuggle sack.

I was everyone's favorite and Chez just bit the bars because there was basil for the kids to feed us.

Actually Barrett the cat was a big hit with everyone.
 
Lol today mom thought I had blood in my stool then she looked at my pink crinkle toy and realized I had eaten some of the pink paper.

Despite getting a tablespoon of cc and eating, gaining 20 grams every 5 days, my poo is still a little on the small side. But I passed my health check yesterday.

I'm just down for a nap so mom's going to go get dressed and have breakfast.
 
Glad the pink was just a bit of paper. “I kinda went deep in my snuggle sack”. Yes, I think that phrase has a lot of meaning for a lot of Guinea pigs. Still, they liked you and cared about you. I hope you have a good appetite and healthy digestion!

Hello survivors,

a little update from your fellow survivor. This is me eating kale in slaves arms. I ate it all up!
Wow, what a wheeeeek I had! But I keep my eyes on the price, and price is my precious life and today I'm rocking it! Almost.

Yesterday I showed some interest in hay. Today I actually ate some. I sniff pellets but I dont eat them yet. And my appetite for veggies are almost as it uses to. Slave can tell I'm not in the same amount of pain anymore, and I'm actually out of my house walking around the cage again pretty much as frekvent as normal for me. I lost a little weight these days, but this morning I weighed 25g more than I did yesterday morning.

Now its up to everyone around me to survive my farts. I'm proud. I know Chip can smell it from his rainbow and smiles. Thats how interesting I smell!

Dear Joe

You should act like a Diva and insist on being syringe fed as I do because it's much more dignified. Miss Bramble has my leftovers and this morning she had it all around her mouth and it looked like a great big green splodge all over her chin! I thought it was disgusting but her Mum Misty was happy to clean her up.

I'm like Thea, a bit of a princess. I demand a syringe. I always have a little dish in my cage, but I dont touch it. Thats not food! But, most of the times I'm a very good boy when slave syringes me. Not just in the mornings.

Slave says its such a rollercoster to care for me right now. Today I'm in pain and grumpy. Its hard to eat and I just want to deepdive my cuddle sack. Slave tries to remember last time, she remembers I came along very well the first days and then I was in pain until suddenly. Just bam. And she wants to remember it was just the same pattern in my behaviour. But seriously, slaves memory sometimes... Last time I fixied my tooth slave worked, wrote her exam paper and was out on practice in a school for her studies. And took care of me. In slaves life everything happens at the same time, right now she's just started a new work.
I'm on 0,8ml metacam/2 times day. Vet says until tomorrow, but slave says until I eat my hay properly. But today I discovered soaked pellets! I went crazy and was very excited. Slave too.
 
Dear Joe, I'm a bit of a metacam junkie myself, and the vet lady said that slave will always have to make sure I have it twice a day. I love soaked pellets too. I'm trying some new ones from piggy parcels that slave says 'are better for me'. I hope they taste just as yummy 😋, your friend Ziggy

Dear Ziggy,

in this family I'm the real metacamjunkie. I'm with your vet, pigs should have at least 2 lovely syringes of it everyday (I like the "Recovery"-syringes, 15ml. Remember I'm VERY big, I need much!). But world is unfair and I dont get any metacam. Just Joe. Do you or anyone else has any good tips on how to get your paws on some metacam?

I agree with @Truffolo you have to pretend that something hurts really badly ( try limping or squeaking when you move). I like the recovery food too, but I'm just as happy to eat it out of a bowl. I didn't used to be allowed any pellets but I need some now to maintain my 1300g plus weight. How heavy are you? Probably even heavier if you're VERY big!

Slave is nervous that the scale will scream error everytime my small paws touches it. I dont really get why, its just numbers! Right now the numbers are 1735. Joe is around 1300 normally, and slave says he's like a little cotton ball compared to me. Because of his tooth-drama he lost a bit and is now only 1235-1240. Skin and bones!
You should really demand more pellets and join the very big side of life! I just get a few at cuddle time, but your slave sounds nicer than mine.

You truly are VERY big. Congratulations on your majestic size! I'm sure you're all muscle like me. My bar buddy is around 1200g but he's all soft and squidgy, whereas I'm all muscle - a chunky chap. My slave is stingy with the pellets, I'm only allowed just enough to keep my weight stable. She gave me some new pellets today, I'm not sure what to make of them.

Its not clear. I get really excited just when I hear that crinkle. I know when its oreos. When I had my little crumble I get so calm. Its like a real sugerrush. Cant get why I dont get it everyday?

Guys,
Today you really need to send your most healing vibes to Joe. He's a fighter, but today he is really poorly. This is not going the right way. Somethings brothers him and slave is going to try to reach the vet, but she is prepared the fight is over. But think of Joe, sned all your fatty and skinny warm love to him. He's a truly beautiful soul this little piggie ❤️
And yes, I have an amazing bond with slave. I put my little nose up in the air when she says "kisskiss" and just love to spend time with my slaves, either on adventures around the house or in a cuddle box. But Joe. He is slaves soulpiggie. Doesn't matter he is quite grumpy and never been the one that comes to great her when she comes home. He never even screamed for food (because the rest of us is has been the army of screamers. He just needs to be pretty). But its just something about Joe, maybe they are very much alike? Make others do the shitty work, be grumpy and attack with charm when you have to?

Eat them! Inhale them! Tell slave to soak them in some water and they get even better. My weight might tell I have a strong interest in food. I know like everything. But yes, most of it are muscles of course. And everything about me is just really big.

Slave buys beds for bunnies. But I'm Kongo. No ones knows if I am a piggie or a small capybara;

Hello beautiful friends,

this morning I made an awful crackling sound and ofc slave thought it was my breathing. Maybe she also forgot I'm not a morning piggie?

I'm okay, you guys. Actually, I'm around sniffing in my cage and eat my veggies and pellets. Slave saw me Munch on something that might have been hay. I even took my little bumm and runned to the divider and said hello to Kongo. And best part of it all; for the first time in 1,5week my poo looks mostly normal! Slave says they are sooooo cute.
But vet tomorrow either way. I scared the hell out of my slave this morning.

My weight was down 20 grams and I know it can be normal, but I was on an upward trend. On a brighter note my poop has been firm and a good size so I got a sprig of coriander.
 
Spring is on its way and seems to be boosting good health for lots of piggies ❤️
 
Here I am tucking into my hay:

Last time I came off antibiotics it took about a month for me to get another ear infection. I've been off a week. My stool is looking big and firm finally. Yesterday I got my usual slice of pepper with benebac gel I get every day. But I also got two sprigs of coriander! Stool still looks good, so I got two more today. Tomorrow I'll have four.

We're really hoping I don't relapse here.
 
Good morning friends,

after slave talked with my vet, they re-arranged my time and I'm going to the dentist tomorrow. Today it was "just" my regular vet. Slave was pretty convinced that they will tell us the fight is over because I'm really, really messed up after these weeks. I got some gabapentin and seriously... I'm on some pink clouds right now. Just very comfy!

And what happens? Slave was going to soak some pellets for me. Kongo wanted one and she gave him. And there I was. Like a bit so steady kobra. I'd pretty much attacked slaves hans and... I ate like eight hard pellets without any trouble! Slave just yelled those three ugly words. And then I did. I went over and I started eating hay! I'm a munchkin right now. Hay, hay, hay!

Guys, I can eat! My precious teeths are working just fine.
