Survivors Group Therapy

Well mom doesn't see anything wrong with my eyes after getting hay in them...

She's gotta leave for work in a couple hours so after breakfast she's cleaning cages. She's going to put my paper bag back in. Floor time when she gets home.

She has an appointment tomorrow but has 3 days off. The cat is going to the groomers Wednesday before she has a meeting about her finances.

She called the vet about my eyes and they said she could call 8 am Monday but it looks like I won't need it! She'll have a closer look at med time.
 
At med time my eyes looked good. Last night she saw the reflection of the window and was scared.

Chez did lots of pee in his paper bag.

Mom went to wash the fleece and we wheeked for her to come back.

I haven't even found all my pellets.

Yay! No vet visit.
 
Yay, no vet visit 👍 Glad your eye is OK. Hope the financial appointment is OK. Water pipes are difficult things 💦
MS got up this morning and realised she had forgotten to put my water bottle back in the cage 🙁 So she decided to give syringe feeding me with water. I was quite good and drank what she managed to get in my mouth. I am a good sport. She is getting good at avoiding my long toe nails while catching me. Then I got my pellets soaked in water 🙄 She was worried because rabbits can go into stasis if dehydrated 🐇🐰🫘 Anyway the pellets are quite nice soaked and I ate them. This meant that only Truffle got personal care today as she wanted to give me a chance to digest my soaked pellets. I had a nice snooze instead.
Truffle: MS trimmed off a matt, trimmed fur around my grease gland and used a Q tip to get a lump of wood shavings out of my boar pouch. I quite like having my fur combed. As you can see, my fur is growing back after my summer trim ❤️

Polo, drink up! You boys are just beautiful.

Truffle has amazing colors and polo looks like a little mouse.

Mom had a dream about the two special needs pigs at the pet store! She said if we both died she'd take them in and start them on metacam. She suspects they both have CBS.

Well I found my pellets.

When Mom is a manager she can adopt the little piggies who need a special home 🏡 Maybe she will get a condo and have lots of space. Clever Stripe, you are good at solving puzzles. How did MS post our photos twice? 🖼️🖼️
MS was wondering if there is a way of getting AI to create a picture of what your guinea pig looked like when he / she was a tiny piggy. She looks at baby guinea pigs and wonders if Truffle looked like that, or if Polo looked like that 🥰
 
The pet store is right next to Mom's work and someone adopted them!

Mom bought a new forage. We'll get it this afternoon. Mmm nettle and chamomile. We got Timothy balls, too.

Two more hours of work.
 
Chez will have his while Stripe has floor time with his pillowcase on the cage to keep him occupied.

Stripe can have some tomorrow. He can't have any calcium today.

Hello friends,

I had a busy weekend. I started a new thing; SCREAM for my food! It sounds like someone is really wounded and needs the animal ambulance. Yes slave, I'm DYING OF HUNGER AND YOU ARE SO SLOW! Slave has never heard me scream this high before. She thinks me and Djingis have a new competition or something because that boy can scream...

Today I had grandslave and his wife on a visit. First they cuddled Djingis - or mister Food Spot as they called him. Slave doesnt know how he manage to get so much food around his mouth?
I took a long cuddle with Grandslave. I love him. Then I peed on him. A big one. He gave me some parsley. Everyone should have a grandslave ♥️

He didnt really give a damn about us humans, we were only a food-source and it took years to bond with him. When we talked food he could be oh so charming! The boys have Timothy dumbbells. I have an appointment so floor time later.

Should do some yardwork today.

Stripe can't have his bag for long periods because twice he's gotten soft stool from eating the paper. It's fine now.

Chez got some very calcium laden pees so both boys are off forage for two days. Too bad because it distracts them when they are naughty.

Stripe's hay looks so nice. There is something amazing about good hay 👌
Those dumbbells look heavy. I suppose you have to eat them all before you can lift them, but then there is nothing left to lift, it's all inside you 🤔
Truffle: MS took away my brown paper bag because I was scoffing it. She gave me some lettuce which I didn't want to eat. I only want baby spinach and cucumber at the moment 🥒
Polo: I like pellets more than anything else 🍚
 
Boys, you need to broaden your horizons. Our favorite is red pepper. Do you like it?

We just started begging. Chez for cookies and Stripe probably for the playpen. But we can't have forage to distract us. Mom left the room.

How is your diet, Polo? Have you lost any grams?
 
Stripe wins, we'll do floor time before my appointment.

The pillowcase is up so Chez is just munching.

Polo: MS is measuring out pellets with a thimble but when she sees me gazing wistfully at her she crumbles and gets another thimbleful. I stand on my hind legs and beg so charmingly she says (ironically) that she should never have taught me that trick 😉 ♥️
 
Hi guys we had cages cleaned a day early because mom has to bring Barrett to the groomer tomorrow then has a meeting.

Chez is just zooming like mad. I did a couple popcorns.

Mom might go to the garden store for some bark, a rake, some grass seed and a flower basket this morning. She did some weeding yesterday.

She also filled a trash bag with clothes she doesn't wear.

She also has to go to the grocery store.

The vacuum is clogged again!
 
Perhaps it's just a filter in the vacuum that's causing the block. Some models have removable ones that can be cleaned. There should be a handbook on the internet for that model.
Grass should be fun 🌾🏡
 
Rumble loud Stripe, floor time is precious. MS has been trying to get us to be more active, which basically means running around. I obligingly trot up and down and when I'm in the mood, gallop about with little kicks and popcorns in the playpen. Truffle: when the food is late, I stamp round my cage. I do a bit of running in the playpen until I get warm and then I lie down.
 
Yesterday mom finished the weeding and spread red bark in the garden beds. Guess what, she planted an echinacea flower and gave us each two petals. It was yummy and it's low calcium! The other flowers are starting to get petals. None for today, but maybe tomorrow.

Barrett leaves for the groomers in an hour and mom has a meeting to talk about finances.

Chez didn't want to get caught but popcorned tons in the playpen and gave mom kisses! She put our pillowcase on my cage so I wouldn't ask to come out again.
 
Mom had her meeting.

Financial advisor talked about Keynesian economics. Mom hasn't thought about Keynesian economics since her undergrad days.
 
Barrett is sleeping after the groomers and Chez is behaving even without forage. I'm in my playpen, I rumbled at Mom when she tried to get me out of the cage. For some reason even though we like it we don't like to get caught for floor time.

Chez was hard to catch, too, and now Stripe is mad it's not still his turn and is teeth chattering. But Chez is having a blast. Might have to give forage to settle down Stripe.

MS has a concertina tube which is wide enough for us and only uses it for play pen time. She picks up our willow bridge hides and we go into the tube almost at once. Then she carries it to the play pen (making helicopter noises) but being careful we don't jump out or fall out backwards, usually by supporting our bottoms with one hand. Getting us back is just as easy, as soon as it's on the floor, we walk in. But if she cheats and the tube ride leads to personal care or something yuk, we are less enthusiastic about getting in next time 😄🚁 ("Oh come on Polo, hurry up 😏")
