Polo: MS cleaned my grease gland with saline solution 🙁 I've been pulling at my fur around it. Stripe your grease gland is so white you are lucky 😒
Last time I had a messy grease gland was when I had an ear infection. Are you feeling okay or are you just messy?

Its worrying that he's not getting better. The vet was optimistic about that Djingis could live a life without regular trims, but that he might need it sometime in the future. Like always with teeths, you dont really know. I really hope whatever is going on in there can be treated. Its so hard to see him suffer this way 🙁 he hates the gaba and tries to spit it out. But he hates the taste of metacam to, he just want that syringe 😅
It's the roots that are the worrying part I think. Trying to work out how long the molar should be. A human dentist might know how to adjust the tooth length so that the root is as stable as possible. Poor boy ❤️ He's turned out to be such a sweetie.

I'm eating and sleeping OK. When I eat I sometimes puff out my fur, but vet checks have all been fine. Sometimes MS thinks I look a bit sad, and there are lots of veg I eat in a finicky way. I can chew carrots though, and Correx and cable ties when I am in a rebellious frame of mind. Truffle: I ate four bristles off the silicone brush once. MS is still hoping they will come out the other end. My fur is growing back more quickly in this weather 🍂

This vet is amazing with teeths, and very honest about the prognosis. Thats why I trusted him with all three of my dentalboys. The fact that he remembers Pikachu (two years ago) and Joe and calls them by name and compare Djingis problems with the problem they had feels so good for me as a owner. I try not to get to much anxiety about tomorrow and just think that Djingis is just two years old. Ofc he can fix this!

Today he ate some grass ♥️ he's very high, but its calming thats he's still excited for food. He's not done yet, he's gonna rule his Kingdom!

Hello survivors,

this is a very sad day. Djingis crossed the bridge this morning. During the weekend is was clear he had an abscess growing bigger so very fast it was visible this morning and he was in a great amount of pain. To drain and treat with antibiotics was an option, but it would come back as soon as we stopped the antibiotics. It could be because of a bad diet in his old or genetical. Guess we will never know, but its so sad. Djingis turned two years just a couple of weeks ago and he was living his life in 180. I'm so sad I only had four months with this crazy little Bug, he ate my heart and we will miss him so much!

Kongo seems to think its okay right now, he gets whatever he wants. I used to call Joe my Black Widow but I guess Kongo really is. In just a year he lost four neighbours. Happy he's more focused on humans.

Love from Kongo and Slave

I am very sorry to hear the sad news. Your little boy had to leave. His story was getting to be such a good one with lots of love. Guinea pigs are made to love and be loved. It's so difficult that they can go so quick. Djingis made so much progress in such a short time, his little boar's heart was full of love before he left. Very sad news.

So sorry for your loss, he was such a special little guy. Full of personality
He really was a character. Very outspoken and mister drama. Such a little child, he just wanted to play and have fun all the time! I was so not prepared for him to leave us this soon, this messy little Bug.

They are truly made of love these animals! Just pure love. Djingis was quite diabolical and didnt give a d about any houserules, but he was still so innocent on this planet ❤️

His huge personality made him a star on the forum, I know I'm not the only one who will miss hearing about his latest (mis)adventure.
Charge over the bridge and cause mayhem little bug 🌈

Thank you, beautiful people ❤️ its so hard to let them go, doesn't matter you had them for many years or just a couple of months. I'm always gonna remember this Djingdjing-summer with a smile and miss him and his voice.

Kongo had floortime during cageclean. He was supposed to help me but ran away to the kitchen. "Djingis thought me to do this!" he said. Cant argue. I fixed the cage and it looks ridiculously small only 5x2. Kongo did approve though, for him its bigger....

Barrett woke mom up at 4:30. She swore at him, got up and gave him a spoonful of food and went back to bed. But she was only able to get an hour of light sleep.

I wasn't ready for the day. I took my veg in my pigloo.

She spot cleaned while Chez zoomed.

I'm slowly waking up.

Chez has a nail trim at the vet today.

Hello survivors,

just want to check in and tell you I'm okay. Slave is sad and I give her alot of hugs and kisses her nose. I have no competition and now slave is just mine!
I eat like normal and run around in my new, big cage. I love it! Right now I'm just fine being the only pig in the house. Slave's very happy about that, because she does not even want to think about getting another one at the moment and I'm not going anywhere. We will see how I adapt to this, she says my wellbeing is the most important - but she's happy if we can give those thoughts a rain check.

Very best - slave tried to eat some of my beetroot yesterday and got a very sore throat. The beetroots are just mine!

Love from Kongo - sleeping in my hay-bag

We're so well behaved in the morning. We don't start biting the bars till we're tired of our fresh hay. Mom's favorite time of the day.

Mom's thinking of going to a funeral visitation this morning for a primary through highschool classmate that passed away at 41 from brain cancer. She won't stay for the funeral.

Very sorry to hear that your classmate passed at such a young age 😔 very sad.
MS is cautiously pleased because Polo gave her a tiny sniff and a lick yesterday. Today he gave her a lick and then started nipping 😯 but very slowly in a dreamlike way 😴 Polo: "Trust me, I'm a fibrevore" 😉

The question is not whether robots will become more like people, but whether people will become more like machines. Will entirely artificial life spread through the universe? Will artificial energy nurture it? 🚀🛰

Humans are adapting to survive in a world made of machinery 😔
And we dont survive in a world made of machinery. We're not wired that way. Today our brain has to process the same amount of information in one week that a farmer did in his whole lifetime did in the end of the 1800th century. We dont have that capacity. I'm sure farmers had their stress too - hard work, tired body, bad weather, cold winters, child deaths, shorter lifespan, sick animals... but I think they we're happier and healthier.

Kongo had he's veggie dinner in a tray yesterday. The thought was to avoid wood shavings on the veggies. Well. Mister yogapants had some trouble and didnt understand its the same tray as he gets his hay in, so he didnt dive in. He was acrobating and woke me up like seven times this night. And he still dragged most of the veggies out on the shaving.
Starting a new job today. I'm not very well rested. Thank you mister yoga.

I hope the new job goes well🙏

Mom gave a list of names to her nephew to choose her next pets name. He chose:

Nettle for a girl

And

Jester for a boy

Mom always obeys her sixteen year old nephew even when he tells her to clean up dog poop

Are they guinea pig names? Will Nettle become Netty for short?

Are they guinea pig names? Will Nettle become Netty for short?
They are either guinea pig names or cat names, whatever comes first! Nettle is from the Robin hobb books and so is jester. It's a reference to the fool, although they never used the word jester.

We'll have to see what the nicknames are.

Sixteen year old nephew just got a job at a burger joint! His first job! He was so excited he texted me last night about it. He has his driving permit and as soon as he gets in all his practice hours he can take the test to get his license.
