Roxy is a 1 year old piggie and so is her sister. Recently I had noticed them scratching and having some dry skin. Today I had picked up some ferret shampoo because I thought it would be safe for the pigs. It’s the marshalls ferret shampoo with tea tree oil. I am now very worried though after reading ab the damages it can do is my pig going to die from this.

Please do not use this on your guinea pigs.
They have very sensitive respiratory systems, and tea tree oil is much too harsh for them.

Self treating possible health problems is not recommended, as you may end up causing a bigger problem in the long run.

If your piggies are scratching and have dry skin they need to see a vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
There are multiple things this might be, and they can only be diagnosed by a vet.
Pet shop treatments are unlikely to work, and may just mask symptoms, making a proper diagnosis more difficult.

Please don’t use this. You’re better off getting them checked by the vet to rule out any issues. Bathing them can actually make it worse as it strips them of their natural oils.

I am planning on taking the girls to the vet on Monday. Do you think they may of harmed them as I only used it once I am very worried.

Hopefully it won't have done any lasting damage and the skin microbiome will eventually recover. Please never use different species products on your piggies.
Here is a guide to the most common skin problems, which is usually either (invisibly small) skin parasites or the start of a fungal skin infection (these two issues need different treatment); this is another reason why home treatment on spec can do more damage than good if you treat for the wrong thing. Tea tree oil doesn't help to cure either issue: New guinea pigs: Sexing, vet checks&customer rights, URI, ringworm and parasites
