I ordered for a C&C cage and I won’t arrive for at most a week. I’m planning to get a guinea pig some time early in the week and I need to put him in a cage temporarily so I have a small travel cage about 25” x 12” x 14”. Is this okay for just a temporary solution till I get the real cage?

That’s far from ideal, it’s so small. Is there anything else you have which is bigger? You need 48 by 24 inches as the smallest cage.

I note you say ‘a’ guinea pig. Please note that guinea pigs are highly social and must never be kept by themselves. You always need to get two guinea pigs.
As you say him, then two boys need a cage measuring 150x60cm/60 by 24 inches (which is a 4x2 c&c cage) as a minimum but 180x60 cm/72 inches by 24 inches (which is a 5x2 c&c cage) is best as boars are more territorial and need more room

I know it's disappointing when you are so eager but it really would be best to delay getting s pair of piggies until you have a suitable size cage for them
