3 of my girls are over a kilo one is 900g at 5 months! I keep getting first refusal on pigs by my local rescue. I had to say no this week as I have my hands full!

My Jemimah is a weighty girl at around 1350g but she’s not chubby.
Her tummy does not drag on the ground, she’s very active (less so in the heat we’re having) and she’s very clean.
Her sister was also a big girl so some piggies can be at the higher end of the scale and be fit and healthy.
I’m sure that with all your care your beautiful chubsters will get to their proper weight.

Its the floor dragging ripples that bother me, Clover's double chin almost drags on the floor! She reached up to the waterbottle today and her double chin and belly fat were still on the floor
We had diet meals and exercise today and I think I'll just skip quarantine on fat piggy welfare grounds as these girls have been settled with no other piggy contact for 2 years, and get straight on with the bonding so they have other interests rather than food and they might want to start moving around a bit... they are really difficult to get moving, they just sit in a (rabbit sized) hidey house and they are too chubby to push out of it- then 5 minutes strolling around the playpen looking for food and they need an hour's rest
I'm determined to try make these chubsters part of a sleek lively herd though! Piggle will get them moving I'm sure, she's adorably annoying like that
