The Beastie Boys

We are no longer going to be moving to Shropshire as the sellers still need a house to move to. We have however had an offer accepted on a house in Lowestoft. This one has no chain, more importantly, it has a piggy room!
I am very much looking forward to expanding their home. The plan (hubby doesn't yet know) is an 8x2 going round a corner.
Boisterous Mr Bob definitely needs the extra space as he's now 1100g, but seems to have no idea that he's grown. He demonstrates this by trying to burrow under Sir George like he used to!20260701_212255.webp20260601_193012.webp

Those boys

Glad you have found a house, especially one with a piggy room.
When do hope to move, assuming no hiccups or delays ?

@weepweeps, ours didn't fall through but waiting 5 months with no end in sight was too long for us.
@Merab , the house is vacant possession, we are cash buyers and our conveyancing team specialises in quick completion. So hopefully 6 weeksish.
@AidaB , some days Sir George would probably beg you to pig nap!

We've exchanged house contracts, just waiting for the council searches now. We've made the decision to delay moving whilst getting heat pump and solar panels, decorating and flooring done.
We have enough extra grids to make the move minimal stress for the boys. We'll set up the new cage with "dirty" fleece and beds so can just pop them in.
I might delay expanding it for a while to.
Sir George is handling Mr Bob and his teens very calmly. IMG-20261014-WA0000.webp20260806_011108.webp

Ever seen the documentary "The Jinx"? It completely messed with my brain and everytime I read "Bob" I have to use the same voice as him (Yes, when I read Bob I have to say it. Have. To). Ba-aa-wb! My Bob started to like it, though. Everytime I said "Ba-aa-wb!" he gave me some perfect popcorns.

George, you looking great as usual Dear daddydude /Harry

Ba-aa-wb! You have a very cool hair-do. I'm a bit jelly. /Benny

I have no idea why but I always say "Mr Bob" in a very strange tone and accent!
@weepweeps , I believe that everything happens for a reason (although mostly it takes time and hindsight to appreciate why). I really didn't want to give up on the Shropshire house. Then we saw the one we are buying now. It has already had the structural work done that we'd planned. Good luck with your move.

Glad the house move is progressing well.
Are you getting storage batteries with your solar panels too ?
We have them and it’s been a blessing as we get power cuts up here when it’s windy, when it rains, when there’s a surge, when the power company feels like it ……..
We have a 30 second delay before the power comes back for us no matter how long the power is out.
The financial saving is great too

Yes, we're going as eco as possible. I'm very much looking forward to having a decent size garden too. I have the opposite of green fingers but hubby is great at growing things. We plan on growing as much of the boys food as we can using the compost they provide.
The searches came through today!
