The Wheaky Beans herd

The itchy and scratchy show continues so the vet has advised to apply the ivermectin again but only 2 weeks apart this time to hopefully banish the mites once and for all. Not sure how to time their cage cleans if I apply the ivermectin tonight/tomorrow? I really hope I can get on top of it this time then it’s only Espresso to worry about! 😅
 
Espresso’s course of antibiotics finishes today. She had a wet bum day before yesterday so I gave her a quick wash and I ended up with an Espressurito.

She’s not had a wet bum since so I’m hoping whatever she had has now cleared!
Then it’ll be time for another pee sample to check if there’s still blood after treatment…

Yes, it’s been a very stressful summer. I’ve been juggling work (which is becoming more pressured), visiting my gran and tending to all the guinea pig ailments. My gran is terminally ill so I want to spend as much time with her as possible while I can. She lives over an hour away so it’s been a lot of travelling back and forth to help look after her. Luckily, my husband knows the full guinea pig routine with his eyes closed so that’s been a huge help!

I’m so sorry to hear about your gran 😞 I hope you can spend a lot of time with her and make lots of memories ❤️ It makes it easier that your husband knows the full guinea pig routine so he can help out x

I don't know how I have been missing your thread, just been catching up! I'm so sorry you are having such a stressful time. I hope your piggies are better now, work has improved and you are able to spend lots of time with your gran. I'm glad your husband is so supportive and can look after the piggies. I'm lucky that way too.
