The Wheaky Beans herd

Hello!

I thought it was about time to introduce my herd of three spoilt sows on this forum - meet Cappuccino (chief bean), Espresso (shy bean) and Macchiato (sweet bean) in photo order below. And yes, I use an old loaf tin to weigh them in every week 😂 If you hadn't guessed, I do enjoy a good coffee hence the name-spiration for my girls and my original herd of 4 girls who've sadly gone over the rainbow bridge were inspired by biscuits (Caramac, Kitkat, Snowball and Crunchie).

I look forward to seeing everyone's piggy pics and sharing the adventures of my daft bunch too!
Beautiful

Macchiato update: Her lump results have been confirmed as chronic active inflammation but with no evidence of cancerous or infectious cells in the sample. My poor baby has been under anaesthesia four times in the last 18 months for various abcess surgeries and a hysterectomy just before Christmas so I'd hate to put her through another one so soon. Think I'm going to monitor the size of it for now and let her live her happy piggy life for a while. Has anyone else had a diagnosis like this?
Sorry for your loss

Half way through our holiday and I check the guinea pig cam from hubby’s phone.
Espresso is patrolling her boundary and trying to kiss Aperol through the bars while Aperol rumbles then runs off having zoomies 🤣
Hormones are running high and they are bouncing!

Thanks all, I’m splitting up the big cage clean over the whole weekend. Aperol and Espresso get two play dates this way and less work for me while ill.

Hormones are running high after a whole fortnight apart. Espresso keeps sniffing Aperol’s bum then he does mini jumps in the air!

Does anyone know if Remend should be kept in the fridge once opened? I’ve started using it to help lubricate Espresso’s droopy eyes

The itchy and scratchy show had their time together (1 hour at most!) while I cleaned out their cages. Hoping this round of ivermectin will kill the mites otherwise it’s back to the vets we go. They’re both having a nap after all the chasing in their hormonal storm. It’s the only time Aperol thinks to exercise so at least it’s better for his health this way!
