For this one, the tone would be rather different - to your piggies, in a tone of exasperation because you've only just changed all their bedding and they've already pooped over it and spread hay everywhere. To your kids, in a tone of information passing. To your other half, it might be a tone of pride in your achievement perhaps and expectation ...

I usually just respond with "oh no that's not food" something else I would also say to Guinea pigs
