While I was away on holiday, I took Christian and Meg to Bristol to meet and bond with Patsy. Patsy is approximately 5 years old. She was surrendered to Little Wheakers on 20 July this year after her friend passed away. After a rocky start she decided that she really did like Christian and Meg after all. Christian kept showing off but has stopped that now as it was getting him nowhere fast! She is a confident piggy who was obviously well looked after and loved in her old home. She has already taken some veg out of my hands but only after she'd seen Meg do it first. She is fairly easy to pick up and doesn't play too much of the "catch me if you can" game. I'm looking forward to getting to know another piggy.

Welcome Patsy. You’re soooo beautiful :wub::wub:

I have booked Patsy in for a Health Check on Monday afternoon. She needs a good Bum Bath which would have been done at the Rescue had one of the piggies not been taken for an emergency vet appointment. I'll let Patsy settle in first before attacking her bum with Posh 'n' Go!

:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: Aw gorgeous Patsy, what a lovely addition to your lovely Christian and Meg x

Oh my goodness she 7s so beautiful 😍 . Wow how exciting. Welcome Patsey. You certainly come to the right house! 😀❤❤❤

Understandably Patsy is a very frightened and scared piggy atm. Over the last 7 weeks she has been surrendered to the Rescue, been in one Foster Carers home, been moved to another Foster Carers home where she has met 2 strange piggies, then a long car ride only to find herself in yet another place! Nevertheless we have had a good first day. Patsy is taking her cues from Christian and Meg. They are not frightened of me so Patsy is tentatively showing signs of trying to be a bit brave. This morning she waited a bit then came out of the log hidey for breakfast pellets. All three were in the run in the garage today as I didn't want to scare her too much by putting her outside in the run just yet. She almost took a bit of lettuce off me at lunchtime as she had seen Meg and Christian come running up for theirs. She walked up and then thought better of it and went to hide in the circus ten. We had a quick cuddle after lunch where she met Piggy Grandma. At veg time tonight, Christian and Meg chose their bit as usual as soon as the hutch door was open, Patsy chose her bit too but I had to put the bowl in front of her face. I take it as a positive that she didn't run off. Then the veg got scatter fed and she helped herself. Onwards and upwards! When I get her out of the hutch I use the piggy whispering techniques so she knows that I am friendly. She is in her Forever Home now and the only time she will ever spend a night away is when she goes to The Boarders when I am on holiday and she will have Christian and Meg there too.
