Junior Guinea Pig
Hey there again
My gi gi lost his cage mate a while back and he has been fine ever since no behavioral issues (maybe a bit bitey and not the cuddly type of pig!) But seems rather happy , however I am seriously considering getting him a new cage mate.
Nearly everyone says you should never introduce two ADULT males as they can fight, but I am confused about this. If you introduce a young baby male, surely it could decide he wants fight once he is old enough. So my question is , is not less risky to introduce two adult male guinea pigs as their hormones are settled and are introduced slowly to various others? Not saying that introducing a baby and an adult is a no no I understand that, but is not the same risk as two adults? I am in so much confusion right about whats best for my pig. I would not want to neuter him as I think it's too stressful for him,he is a nervous pig. Sorry for all the rambling!
