Thanks for lovely messages on the angry thread, we thankfully made it to vets in the end! Very stressful there and back!

Luigi the porker has mineral deposits in both eyes on top of his cataracts, Kim wasn’t too worried but I need to keep an eye on his cataracts because of possible issues in the future. She also found a lump near his lymph node (my heart sank) so could be possible cancer or an abscess, but thankfully it’s moving around and she thinks it’s a fatty lump! Hard to feel with all his fat bits! 🙈 So relieved! ❤️
She also said he seems to have had a tooth issue in the past (I adopted him at around a year old although I think he was a bit younger, so probably before he came to me), his left side is different to the right but not causing him issues of course (🐷), but something I wasn’t aware of!

Little Cleo however has a heart murmur :( It’s never been picked up on despite her many vet trips, she said it’s very slight but had noticed her ears were quite white when I first got her out of the carrier, they then started getting more pink.
She has issues with hay and becomes Little Miss Trumpet Nose, gets very irritated and has metacam on those days as she gets very snotty and very noisy. It always stays in her upper airways and never goes to her chest, I’ve learnt now over the months to just use a handheld hoover in her cage and we always have one particular orchard grass as it’s the only thing that doesn’t set her off!
But a couple of months ago she had the worst episode I’ve seen, was gasping with mouth wide open struggling to breathe as so many snots, went quite weak and floppy and scared the cack out of me! Then fine after 10 minutes like always! So since then I’ve really worried, she hasn’t grown or put weight on since 8months old (a year old now) is absolutely tiny at 800g and something wasn’t right. So the heart murmur explains a lot (and I’d mentioned to some forum friends she reminded me of my heart rat Ollie with the gasping so that was in the back of my mind tbh). I just knew there was something, maybe mother’s intuition!
So little Cleo now has Bisolven as well as metacam to help on her bad days and what I went to discuss, she’ll be getting a nebuliser!
Any recommendations on good piggy nebulisers would be a massive help from anyone please, I’ve never had one with any of my gang in the past so all new to me! :)

And to top the bad day off, poor Luigi and Lolo were nearly killed when the barrier at the station closed on their carrier in Northampton station! So I swore and screamed at the top of my lungs as I tried to pull them out, thankfully a girl ran over to help! Then sat shaking and crying trying to put it back together after they nearly fell out! 🤬🙈 But another new carrier needed now I think as that’s wobbly! 🤦‍♀️😡

Oh and Princess my sisters dog (who had cancer a few months ago) was at the vets again this morning for another lump (I’ve been pestering). Got a phone call while coming back, the cancer’s back! ☹️☹️☹️ Operation on the 20th ☹️

Piggies are more relaxed now but I’m a bit of a state if I’m honest. Having some cider which I’ll regret later with my dodgy belly but I’m alone and sad and I bloody need it! What a horrible day! Please send virtual hugs! Daisy’s ignoring me the useless cat! :))

Sending you masses and masses of hugs. I am so sorry you have had such an awful day. So glad to hear no piggies were hurt in the accident with the barrier. Poor Cleo, hopefully the new meds will help. As you know I have a nebuliser, I think I told you which one, ask if you need more info. Xx

Thank you, it was bloody terrifying! Holding J&C in front and L&A behind and it suddenly snapped on them and kept closing! The guy tried to stop it while me and the very helpful lady tried to free them! How I haven’t had a seizure or panic attack yet I don’t know! Probably all the tears with my poor sister slowed them down! Nice and wobbly now 🙈 Poor pigs!
Yes thanks so much, I’ll have a look in the morning and see if I can find that one! Was just going to ask around a bit to see of any others. But I’m going to try and relax a bit now, been home two hours but just  at the moment! xx

Definitely just relax tonight, the important stuff can wait til tomorrow, you need to give yourself a breather! What a horrific day, you've coped better than I would've, and of course Daisy's just doing a Cat thing heh. That's how cats live!

Aww...sorry with the not so good news with regards to piggies. Good thing though that a girl helped you when the carrier got stuck! I would be crying too if I was in your case. Big hugs to you and hopefully you and the piggies are alright despite everything. ❤️

All sounds very stressful and a lot to recover from and process @alpacasqueak :(
Sending many hugs and piggy kisses, try relax a bit now and not overthink the vet news right away after such an awful day- you can process all this info and move forward tomorrow x
PS Blodwen says bisolvon is amazingly effective and just plain lovely on apple chunks! Blod has managed without nebulising so far because she holds her breath if captured and her fur-do is very prone to getting soggy and making her cold. But many people here have good nebulising tips and many piggies live long happy lives with heart issues once the meds are sorted x

Haha she’s here licking her bits for me now! :roll:XD Cats! Thanks so much, after the train this morning there were problems at Birmingham and London all day so was worried I wouldn’t even get home! Me and my curse! 🤦‍♀️ Music on and will try to chill now! I’m in hiding tomorrow and my meds and marmite flatbreads can wait til Saturday! :)) x

Thank you :) Some happy noises coming from the gang now thank goodness, poor Luigi has looked a bit shellshocked tbh! Sure we’ll all feel a bit better in the morning. Thanks for the hugs! :) x

Wow, what a day you’ve had!
The boys, Koda, the horses and I are sending lots of love!
Hope you are all relaxing now, after a horrendous day.

thinking of you all 🥰

How terrifying to nearly lose the piggies at the train station, heart in mouth stuff. Fate will surely bring you a fantastic day soon, after today 😳

Sending hugs to you! It sounds like a very stressful day! A shame to hear about Cleo I hope she will be okay, and the others too!
here a cute picture of Mr floof himself up to cheer you up…

Thanks a lot, and thank you beautiful Blod, sure she’ll enjoy a sprinkle on her apple too! :) Kim doesn’t think she needs heart meds at the moment as thankfully doesn’t seem too bad and it was pumping on overdrive with her stress there bless her! Hopefully just nebulising with her bad snotty days etc! We’ve said she’ll go every 6 months for a good checkover with her but more if I’m worried. But Timothyhay.co.uk are never allowed to sell out of her orchard grass again, she had metacam 5 days out of 7 with another we tried a couple of weeks ago! 🙈
And of course, warned Kim what a biter she was, not a nibble! Luigi thought he’d give it a go instead for his little sis! :)) x

Thanks so much everyone!

Aww thank you beautiful boy! You always cheer me up stacks you little stunner! :luv:

Oh Becci what a day! Sending hugs to you
Well what a list, Kim is very thorough though, at least you know now with Cleo and her funny days and being so tiny, the little love and Luigi with his poor eyes. Sending healing vibes, it’s strange how these things come up with a good vet which probably would be missed by many x

So sorry about Princess, poor doggy x

Sounds like an horrendous day. Well done for getting through it. Enjoy your cider. Sending hugs to you and healing vibes to the piggies. ❤️

What a stressful day you've had, I'm so sorry as I have no advise :( That must have been so scary with the carrier. You definitely deserve that cider! Sending you bucket loads of (((hugs))) and healing vibes for Luigi and Cleo xx
Thanks Claire, well I managed 2 ciders and just had to puke so no more now! Really needed a bit of booze today but I’m not allowed 😡 So annoying! Water it is! 🤦‍♀️ Thanks so much xx

Madness! Yes Kim is so thorough isn’t she, never would’ve known Gigi had an issue with teethies, we both laughed at how it doesn’t affect his appetite at all! 😆 But I blooming knew it with Cleo! There was something with her my little dwarf pig! Feel even more protective over my little angry madam now, bless her! x
Totally gutted about Princess, my sisters heartbroken again so close to last time ☹️ She’s a fighter though! ❤️

Thanks so much anyway everyone, massively appreciate all the support when I’m here on my lonesome, sorry to be such a miserable ! x

Oh my goodness. What a shocker of a day for you. It’s going to take you some time to recover from all of this!

I have this nebuliser. OMRON C28P CompAir Nebuliser with Virtual Valve Technology : Amazon.co.uk: Health & Personal Care

It’s great. I have made up a chamber using an old pet carrier wrapped in cling film. I then attaché the chamber on the inside of the door and pop a towel over the front to keep the vapours in.
Still slightly buzzing tucked up on the bed! 😆
Thank you, wow, so cheap! Was expecting to pay more to be honest! A chamber would be so much better for her too really with her bitey issues!
When she first had the nose trumpet issues after she came she didn’t seem to be too bothered and would run around and eat etc but the older she’s getting the more she hides and acts quiet, I always know we’re in for a bad day if she’s not waiting and shouting at me for breakfast! But the heart would explain that too I guess. Just hopefully I can make her feel better faster with one of those now! 🤞 Thanks 😊 xx
