is it too cold outside to put the piggies out?
My piggies are outdoors and have been all through the winter. I brought them in last winter as temperatures were ridiculous. This year however, I kept them out as it has been relatively mild with just the odd really cold night. My piggies have snugglesafe heat pads, lots of hay, fleeces and cuddly beds etc. Their hutch is also insulated and they have a thick fleece blanket pulled over the front of the hutch at night to keep the cold out as well as a wind and rain protecter.
HOWEVER, my pigs are used to it. I feel that it is too soon for your pigs to be put outdoors this early especially if they have always been indoors. Please do not put them out in the day and bring them in at night as piggies do not cope well with temperature fluctuations. My girls come indoors for a run around but the room they play in doesn't have the heating on so there isn't much difference.
so I'm best of waiting a fee months and putting them out perms toy rather than in out in out etc
