Truffle and Polo

Happy gotcha day boys- hope it’s filled with treats. As well as the necessary evil medicine. 🥬🫑🥒🎉
 
Baytril went in OK, although it takes a lot of concentration as piggy knows exactly when to turn his head to avoid having the yucky stuff squirted into his mouth. His poops are just right and there was a nice big pile in front of his house this morning 👍No wheezing at all currently ❤️🙏He is getting small amounts of cucumber and half mini cucumbers as well as small amounts of coriander and apple 🥰 🥒🌱🍎
 
Baytril is a good one. Hoping it works for good.

Polo's poops are improving, but so is is paw-eye coordination when it comes to deftly batting away the nozzle of the syringe 🏓 I bought a bottle of Ribena blackcurrant squash to tempt him (vet recommended) as more and more Enrofloxacin is going into his fur and less into his mouth 🙁 Polo is still wheeze free and is quite energetic 🙂
I would like to try dosing Truffle with Fibreplex 🤞❤️

What is the ribena? I've never heard of it.

I like it, not that you get it here in Germany that I know of, and even if you could, it's not something I'd buy regularly. I drink tap water and various types of tea mostly. I never would have thought of giving it to piggies though, but the vet must know!

Blackcurrant is ribes nigrum in Latin, so that's what the name is based on. It's schwarze Ribiseln in Tirol, which I knew before the Latin. Standard German is something else, not related.
 
I think I am in the "Ribena is nice" camp. Polo likes it too. He was still a bit resistant to the meds, but he did lick at the Ribena and got most of the Baytril, brave piggy 🥰 I have to be careful with artificial sweetness as Xylitol makes me thoroughly sick. I don't want have that happen with a different sweetener. I chewed too much chewing gum once and became sensitive to Xylitol 🙁
