Hope the infection is permanently cleared now

I must admit it is nice not to have to administer antibiotic to a reluctant guinea pig twice a day. He was very cute in the vet and was very curious and more confident than usual If he has no symptoms, we only need go back in five months. I am really hoping this will be possible, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too soon

I was playing in the playpen with Truffle who was happily running through assorted tunnels, popcorning, bumping, biting, chewing and bossing them about. Polo was so restless he started biting the bars So I had to get on with cleaning to let Polo out. I will let him out first next time

At the moment Polo is fine, no symptoms at all. He has a tiny lump on his tummy which seems to have remained the same size as far as I can tell. I hope his breathing will stay healthy Thank you for asking

It's hot today. Too hot for moving around much. The cool unit has been on all day and we have cool mats, a piece of slate and frozen pods deployed. The temperature rise has only just got started. Truffle: MS plans to trim more off my coat, but I'm quite glad arm

Yes, the new nets are up. Last year I put bed sheets up to hold off the morning sun.

Well, this year the bed sheets had to go up again The cooling unit is running and creating a cool breeze. There are cool mats everywhere, a slate and ice blocks, wet lettuce and cucumber on rotation Truffle's remaining fur came off and he is a smooth haired piggy ATM. He looked nervous earlier, but once the sheets went up, things stopped heating up. The sun will soon be off the windows. Tomorrow I will put the sheets up early before the sun is on the windows. My room is 26C but the piggies are next to cool pods and the unit is circulating a cool breeze The heat doesn't worry me, but I need to be careful of the piggies
