Hoomum and Polo went to see a new vet today
who isn't far away and has nice long opening hours. He was very friendly to Polo and has kept guinea pigs as pets, and said Polo is very nice and very good
Polo was a good boy. We discussed the two lumps visible on his tummy and the options to look at, including observing for longer. He will be reassessed soon. The vet is great as he is considered about operating, knowing the risks. It does worry me that the stitches would be right where they could be bitten or scratched apart. Operations are not always straightforward for guinea pigs

Polo my handsome brave boy, I knew you would be a good boy for the vet.
I will put a golden star in the sky for you tonight
so it will shine down on your beautiful face to say I am thinking of you,
then in our dreams we will sit together munching on lush hay until the sun rises in the sky
and we fall asleep with my paw in yours.
Love and wheeks, Mabel

My only thoughts were of you, Mabel
and how, like a bold knight of old, I could win your star My dreams are all of gold
until the warm sun wakes me and I search for your paw and wheek, my Mabel, where is she? How can I find my Cavee Queen? Tasteless now and scattered the cucumber slices Hoomum packed, the hay all strewn about, I will have to wait for moonrise and starshine to return before we can be together again

Truffle post breakfast nap
Glad you have an experienced good vet for Polo.
That makes such a difference when considering options for his lumps

Yes, I dread the thought of an operation. The matter needs to be approached with care

My Polo, I cannot see the moon tonight because the mist has descended
but I know its still looking down and the moonbeams will break through to touch your tender paws. We will cuddle up close when you close your beautiful eyes
and sing the songs of love and happiness before we fall asleep under the twinkling stars
. I am with you always

Mabel
the moon brought me your sweet caresses and my dreams became a wonderland where we walked and snuggled and wheeked together contentedly, feasting happily on the finest treats
She watches over you in your sleep and smoothes your fur and smiles when you dream of me
