Twinkle Died On The Operating Table....

Short update. I sent my well reasoned letter of complaint to the vets earlier this week by snail and e mail. I had an email back within the hour to confirm receipt and then 10 minutes later a bill !
Not for the original £70 -80 but for £50 for "exploratory surgery". 'Scuse me? You were supposed to be draining an abscess

No other explanation from them, far less any words of regret.

Stupified
Just need to think a minute where to file that.....

I was thinking of sending £5 to cover consumables ( (two whiffs of halothane, scalpel blade, suture material etc) but I'm not paying for professional services in the circs......

Personally I wouldn't feel like sending them anything after the way you and poor Twinkle were 'treated', I'd dispute the bill and say exploratory surgery was not the treatment you had agreed upon.

Hugs, I would do the same thing in your position. But with a case like that, all vets should know that they're not above the law of any sort (no matter who, what, where, why, when, how).
