Hope all goes well tomorrow xx
My doctor wasn't too optimistic about surgery for it. I am not sure if I would put her through it. I think I will just keep her comfortable as long as I can. She has actually gained weight. Lol. She seems completely fine besides the bleeding. I may see if he wants to monitor it to see how fast it's growing by doing another ultrasound soon.I'm so Sorry for the newsI'm afraid I have no experience xx
Dot also had a lump in her bladder. In the wall when i first took her to the vets when she was peeing with a bit of blood. My vet said it was very risky to operate on. So we left it and the lump went down on its own. Still dont know what it was.but she was diagnosed with interterstial cystitis in the endWell not good news unfortunately. She has a mass/tumor/growth in her bladder.. I am crushed. My vet is going to consult with an expert in Columbus to see what to do. It's at the top in the middle. Doesn't seem to be involving the ureters or anything. Anybody have any experience with bladder tumors? I don't want to put her through surgery if it's an option and won't cure anything. Thanks in advance.
Sounds exactly the same as dots. She also gained weight. She was put on zythromax but i dont know if it was what took the lump down. I was devestated when i first knew about the lump. But dont worry too much. Its probably not that bad.The bladder wall was thickened around it too. Thanks for your support.
She is totally fine. Just blood in urine. No pain that I can see.Sounds exactly the same as dots. She also gained weight. She was put on zythromax but i dont know if it was what took the lump down. I was devestated when i first knew about the lump. But dont worry too much. Its probably not that bad.
Is zelda hunching and wheeking when pooing or peeing?
That is how my vet was too. As soon as he has info from the specialist he knows he is going to call me back.Basicly, i couldnt find out what the lump was without my vet operating. But he said there was too much invasion to get to it safely.
I will be interested to see what it was if your specialist finds out. Because it still bugs me with dot. Obviously i wish dot and zelda didnt have any bladder issues in the first placeThat is how my vet was too. As soon as he has info from the specialist he knows he is going to call me back.
It wasn't a perfect circle. It was odd shaped which I am sure isn't good. He tried to get a look at the kidneys with the ultrasound, but there was too much gas and such in there. I may ask if an x-ray may be useful too, just to compare. I always end up with these darn animals I can't help. Sucks. Breaks my heart every time. Dot also has a tiny lump on her side but it hasnt grown atall and my vet didnt seem worried about it![]()
I know how you feel. Ive had a 6 year old boar with 3 bladder stones, a uti, and broken front top teeth all at once, dont know how the teeth broke. He passed away after a month of battling. Then i had his bro who was 7 pass away from cancer. Then literally straight after dot got this lump thing. O and before pip passed my gerbil oak got pneumonia and passed away too. Its so difficult to lose them. Finger crossed at tjr moment all my animals are fine apart from dot is a little sketchy but acting fine lol.It wasn't a perfect circle. Cheers . I'm over them now, in the nicest possible way, i deal with it by just going numb for a few days then just thinking how i made their lives better then they wereI am so sorry for your losses. Yes it is so hard!
Oh no, poor thing. Maybe it will be something she can live with for awhile if it is not causing her pain.Well not good news unfortunately. She has a mass/tumor/growth in her bladder.. I am crushed. No, no, no - you must never think that.It wasn't a perfect circle. It was odd shaped which I am sure isn't good. She is almost 4.How old is zelda ?
Thank you so much for saying that. You are very kind. She will not suffer. I will do what I can to do the best for her.No, no, no - you must never think that.
You are helping beyond measure.
You notice when things are wrong, and seek appropriate (and no doubt expensive) veterinary care, always putting their best interests first.
Imagine if poor Zelda had ended up as some forgotten child's pet in a hutch at the bottom of the garden?
You are doing an amazing job for her (and all of your piggies) and you should always remeber that becasue of you and the care you have given them, their lives have been better and they haven't suffered.![]()
