He is still here, but he is still refusing to take any water or food from the syringe and he hasnt wee'd or poo'd since he went in the basket at 5pm yesterday. I am off to the vets then this morning to see how his heart is doing etc... But it hink i know what he is going to say :(

I'm so sorry to hear about Big bum, I will be thinking of you both xxxxxx

Bless him, some of them seem to be really stubborn with hanging on. Any updates? (Will check around the forum if you have updated elsewhere)

Ok here goes...

We had a quite nigth and i thought he would be gone in the morning but no... He poked his head up a few times but was extremely weak and wobbly and couldnt stand up.

Toddyguineapig (Jacquie) texted me and it came to pass that i ended up taking him down to the CCT again today and she came and met me to pick up the two girlies Squeaky and Mum.
When i got to the CCT Vedra took him in and confirmed he was very weak and in pain. It could be his kidneys and his tongue is sore. I was asked about the hay again and i did say they are still on hay because they wont sit on anything else and he has come back to quickly to order some special stuff in from the pet shop (ours dont order in the one she suggested anyway but i was going to find another one).

ANway she said he isnt on deaths door yet and suggested to keep him to see what can be done. She has all my details and will call me.
I cried then i met Jacquie and i have spent the whole journey thinking i could have done something more for him and why did i not realise he was in pain etc...?

My little man is 2 hours away and i know he is in the best place for him and if and when he is better Jacquie will be picking him up and he will be going to live with her females and be reunited with his mum and his sister... And if he doesnt pull through then his body is coming back here to be buried.

I wish i was there with him and i kick myself for not noticing his mite infection sooner...:(
I am just hoping he can pull through this...

Jacquie you are an absolute star and i dont know what i would have done without you. Thank you so much and i look foward to you being a "pest" :)

So Bigbum needs all your good wishes to pull through guys... And thank you for all your kind words its nice to know that bigbum is being thought of :)

My house is now empty and i must clean up all the syringes, spilt pellet mush and blended veg and vac all the hay up... No noise and an empty space... Squeaky and Mum i know will have a great life i just wish Bigbum will join them...

Sending lots of love and gentle cuddles to bigbum xxxxx

Thanks. I am at the computer at the moment and keep expecting to hear shuffling around and rumbling behind me. I keep on wanting to turn around and check on them...

God i need to stop sounding so depressed...:{

Sending special vibes to Bigbum that he will pull through and be able to join the girls and a hug to you too Jane...look after yourself x

Thanks for the update Jane. It is good to hear he is still going, perhaps not strong but he is still fighting and doing his bit. He has a chance, I hope Vedra contacts you with some good news very soon. It can be hard to tell a pig is in pain - given that pigs tend to hide their symptoms until it's pretty advanced - so please don't be hard on yourself.

Thank you for doing everything that you have done for Bigbum, and thank you Jacquie for taking the two girls and for being so helpful and supportive to Jane. Keeping my fingers crossed here for the little chap. xx

I'm glad to hear that Bigbum made it through the night - I have been thinking of you Jane & Bigbum all day. Hope he does get better & that you are ok xx

I'd just like to say that Jane is a star and has nothing to feel guilty for. There are many people who wouldn't have gone the extra mile to save their piggie and you love them, that's obvious :rose

The girlies have settled well and have eaten their veggies and the dandelion sticks and have both come out of the house and nestled into their timothy hay, which they love and have been drinking so I'm really happy - and they're just soooo pretty. I hope bigbum makes a good recovery so he can come and join his family and the harem I've got lined up for him :(|)

I'd also like to say to the people on the forum, I've been on other forums before - dogs, rescues etc and they've been clicky and nasty and I've left - but you guys are just great and I know you've helped Jane with your kind words and support :)p

I look forward to a positive update on the little man tomorrow xx

I'm glad to hear that Bigbum is good now. Hope he does get better and you too.
