Urgent Please Help

it's not silly at all. Being reminded about a loved brings the memoirs and love. Then we miss them it's sad and it really does hurt. As you know I was Pedro's Humanslave. i can't do salad or veg shoppin cos I did for him. i refuse as it brings back fond meal times battles. Bless them all. Kenneth sounds fun. Keep strong lass. Big Hugs.

I am so so sorry Tabybim. The greatest gift you can give is to know when it was time to let your Godfrey go. He would have known too, & he would have been thankful, you didn't let him suffer.
It would be nice to see you on the forum again. When a piggy dies in the forum we all feel the piggy & owners pain.
Sleep tight little Godfrey
Popcorn free over the rainbow bridge.
Sending kisses for Godfrey & Hugs for you Hun.
So true we feel the grief when one moves over to the Rainbow world. RIP. All Piggies their. x

I now have the opportunity to give another piggy a home a 12 week old skinny boy. The prospect is exciting as I miss having a skinny in my herd but is it greedy to have another piggy when I already have 5? Also will it remind me too much of Godfrey? Or is it just what I need?

Thanks for the support. I do miss having a skinny around. Should be picking up the new boy Sunday . I know it's more work and responsibility but I think he really needs a new home and I have plenty of experience with skinnys after caring for my beloved Godfrey.

Know exactly what your going through my cat had stomach cancer one day there running around next day your at the vet being told how bad the situation is. I recall my head spinning round thinking oh my gosh this is all my fault I should have done something different however his time came and he had to go some loved ones cant go to the next chapter of your life with you. When a forest fire destroys so much it leaves space for new life to grow. There Is generally 7 stages of grief shock and denial, pain and guilt, Anger and blaming others, depression loneliness, upward turn , recension and working throw pain, Acceptance and hope

Through the ashes I will rise. Through the ground and grass. Up past the trees. Into the clouds I will glide soring like an eagle proud and strong. Winding to the moon like a shooting a star and strait to the sun but I will not halt here. I'm flying home I will be the first of many to great you when you make this same journey. Do not mourn me I am happy and I will always be with you watching over you. GOODBYE FOR A SHORT TIME....................... I'm TAKING A SHORT HOLIDAY.

HOPE YOU LIKE MY POEM WROTE IT MYSELF

Very sweet poem. Losing pets is very painful, probably because they are such innocent souls , and they give such unconditional love. In tough times I've always turned to my pets for comfort. Just this year my nans lost 3 cats ( which I was extremely close to) and I've lost 2 Guinea pigs , all to cancer. It's been a very difficult time but I find comfort in the pets I still have, and they bring me a lot of joy.

Sunday. YIPEE. Photo pls when you can. I'm excited for you. xx

So I picked up the new piggy Sunday, his name is Jeremy. He is much tinier than I expected ( he is 12 weeks old) less than half the size of Kenneth who's around the same age. His previous owner had been taking very good care of him and he is very friendly, he absolutely adores Kenneth but ken's not quite so sure ( no fighting though). No pictures yet but I'll see what I can do.

I hope the bonding goes well, be lovely to see some photos of them both once they're settled together x

Sorry I haven't put up any pics , I'm having some problems with my iPad . But all is going well except for Kenneth biting Jeremy (he's a bit jealous ☹️)but no harm done, it was more of a warning than anything serious, but it has put pay to them living together. Never mind they seem happy in their own cages living side by side, abit less space in the bedroom for me .( I'm getting rid of my one piece of furniture other than my bed to give the piggies extra room to run around ). Luckily the weathers been good lately so everyone's had some time out in the garden. For now I can tell you Kenneth my ginger boy has grown quite huge and chubby (so cute ) and Jeremy is still abit small and pathetic but his belly is definitely rounder and he has some exceptional ginger hair on his nose! The other 4 piggies are all doing well but my 6 year old Hilary doesn't think much of the hot weather and Dennis has bad allergies so prefers to stay inside. My white girls( sisters I rescued from a vetinary hospital a few months ago) daphne and Joan are more timid than my other pigs but love the garden and seem to like my new boys( they can only meet through their bars cos the boys are still full males and I don't want any piggy babies .)

Here are my piggies,

My boys Freddie (white) and billy (tri)

And my girls honey (long hair) and Eevie (short hair) . . .

Thanks David,I'm okay still missing Godfrey, guess that won't change , but Jeremy is wonderful and very friendly. Do you have another pig yet? I know it's difficult to know the right time to get another pig but mine have really helped me.

Well HOT news. We are in the process of adopting 3 girl piggies that have come up. Seems they are about 2 very friendly and would like a forever home. We can't split them up so as you can imagine it's all panic here. lol.I send picture. Yes we still miss Pedro so much and I still not done his rainbow post but cos off him we can offer a loving home and these beautifully girls tho no fault of their own need a home.
