Coco&Luna
Adult Guinea Pig
Right here we go. Luna regularly has these symptoms:
Loud wheezy hooting, runny nose, grunting nasal noise, particularly loud when she's eating, washing herself and walking about.
Uri yeah?
She gets every symptom of a uri all of a sudden and 90% of of the time it's completely gone by the next day. It's got to the stage I've learned not run straight to the vet for abx because it's more that likely gunna be completely cleared by later that night or morning. She's guaranteed to get bloat when on abx so I wait it out and unless it's not cleared in two days I avoid taking her to the vets for abx.
Do any of your pigs do this? I always hear "it's highly unlikely a go will recover from a uri without help" but Luna seems to prove this wrong on a fortnightly basis, so she baffles me.
Any insight would be helpful.
