I know that you're supposed to feed 1 cup of veggies per pig per day, and I've read that a lot of forum members feed twice a day. Does this mean you feed 1/2 a cup per pig in the morning and the rest later on in the day? Currently my girls get one big meal in the morning and they pretty much inhale it, but if its better for them to be fed twice a day I can split it up. I'm also afraid that I'm not feeding them the right proportion of veggies. How much of that 1 cup should be leafy greens and how much should be other veggies? Daily between the two of them I feed a small handful of red and green leaf lettuce (mixed), red and green butter leaf lettuce (mixed), one leaf of escarole and some parsley, along with a couple of slices of green bell pepper, a couple of slices of yellow bell pepper (these slices are pretty thin), and a couple of baby carrots and then occasionally I throw in the extra treat like grapes or cherry tomatos. Am I feeding them too much leafy greens? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

My boys get snacks as i like to call it in the morning then in the evening they get a veggie bowl full. I think its down to the individual with work commitments etc... If you have time in a morning then you could split the veggies up so half in morning half at night. I don't think your over doing the greens to be honest, you could trying and add some other stuff to the mixture which will give them more variety and tastes. Apple, brocolli, cauliflower, cucumber, kale, baby corn etc.... :)

i feed a plate (side plate size) in the morning and again in the evening. this is for two piggies.

the majority of what you feed should be leafy greens (some vets say only leafy greens!) and then anything else should be 'treat' sized. say one slice of pepper, an inch of carrot etc ...

i try to feed two different types of food in the morning, and two in the evening, and swap and change the foods as much as possible so this way they get a variety. so whatever i buy one week from shopping, i won't buy again the next week for example, except for a few 'staples' like lettuce (different types) and coriander :)

I used to feed mine twice a day but due to some constraints I have altered their feeding to once a day, I have plastic containers so I know how much they are getting.

I also feed them twice a day, once when i get up about half 6 and then again about 5pm. I agree its hard to know how much to give them but I tend to give less i think rather than more. I tend to go by the wetness of their poo really.
