Thank you for your kind words @Swissgreys xxSending lots of healing vibes to your girl and wishing you some proper rest soon.
It is clear how hard you tried to get her proper care, and it sounds like she is doing well. You have nothing to feel guilty about![]()
Thank you so much @Eddie & Elvis, they seemed really good with Abigail, but it's always good to know that someone has had a good experience there x@Abirose I've been to Chipping Norton Vetinary Hospital many times, it's where I've taken my boy Eddie since he's being having teeth problems. I've always had good experiences and the nurses and Nathalie the exotic specialist is lovely![]()
They've been amazing for me, they got Eddie through a gut stasis episode so I'm sure they'll do everything they can to help your girl. Holding you in my thoughtsThank you so much @Eddie & Elvis, they seemed really good with Abigail, but it's always good to know that someone has had a good experience there x
Thank you @Spaghetti & Noodles @Wiebke and @hot fox
We normally take Abigail and Rosie to the Cat & Rabbit to see Simon and Kim, both girls had ops there in January and February this year.
Abi didn't drink her water or eat her nuggets on Easter Monday and was not herself, so started syringe feeding Monday night, she was just holding the syringe food in her mouth but i couldn't get her to swallow. I tried to book an appointment at the Cat & Rabbit on Tuesday morning they said Kim and Simon were away and the locum was fully booked. Rang vets round my area, no luck apart from one so we took her there, they were not a exotics vets and they were terrible said she was fine they could hear her food going through her tummy and she would be ok, i told them this was impossible as she wasn't eating or drinking and she had passed no poos, i came home in tears as i knew she was really poorly. I phoned the Cat and Rabbit and asked if they knew of an other exotic vets they gave the name of two, rang them and they said they were fully booked and could't take any new patients at the moment. She got worse Monday night and so Tuesday morning phoned another vet and they said they would see her at lunch time they were brilliant said they were not an exotic experts but thought she had bloat and the start of an abscess in her mouth and referred us to the Chipping Norton veterinary hospital, we took her straight away. I phoned first thing this morning, Abi has been given pain medication and medicine to help relieve the bloat, she has started to take syringe food and seems a little brighter in herself. The exotic vet is calling me later this morning with an update. Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense, not had proper sleep since Sunday night.
That's not good...even if dispensed to a different bottle, I have always found the medication info printed on the label. Whichever it is, that is a tiny amount and will do absolutely nothing and once a day isn't right either. At least you can find out at 9 am.Thank you Debbie,
I am waiting to ring them they don't open until 9am
Will ring the Cat and Rabbit first thing Monday morning.
It doesn't say on the bottle its just a small brown bottle with their label printed with just Abigail's name, Loxicom and the amount to give her it says 0.07ml once a day.
