Vibes for my darling CoCo please...!

Went to feed the pigs about an hour ago and notice coco's eye was catching the light funny... I thought she had a full cataract appear over night but it's a bite... :(
Poor coco has had medical problem after medical problem and I'm feeling ever so sorry for her...
She's in the vets at 3pm today...
Hopefully she'll just need the bog standard eye cream for eye aulsers...
But it looks horrible... :(

She's such a sweetheart... She's a permanent resident here at the rescue as she's an old dear and has hormonal problems... :(
And she's one of the sweetest natured pigs out... She's my 'foster mom' for orphaned babies...

She looks like a lovely old lady :) Fingers crossed its nothing too serious. Lots of feel better wheeks to CoCo from all of the pigs here!
 
Aw, sending CoCo lots of gentle hugs - could be an injury from hay or something less. Think eye problems always look far more sinister than they are :)
 
Oh Coco, you poor girl..You have Wally Whisker's heartfelt sympathy, he knows how sore that can be. (((((gentle hugs))))) and healing vibes :laluot_29:

She's on chloramphenicol eye drops as the normal fucithalmic ones arnt strong enough...
I found the culprit for her eye injurie...

Can't beleive I didn't notice it when I put the hay in... I feel so guilty...
I genuinely thought penny may have bitten her as she's been being a madam lately...
The vet was concerned with her eye bursting :)>>> but as it's not bulging out so I don't think that's too much of a concern...

Poor coco...

P.s. My draining board isn't normally that filthy I was washing the little ones shoes... :))

I had the same thing happen to my Gladys last year. I thought she was going blind in one eye, but after about three or four days it just seemed to clear up by itself. All I did was bathe it gently with some water that had been boiled and left to cool and that seemed to soothe it. BIG healing vibes from me and Gladys and also piggie huggles.x x>>

Oh Clare whee are having same probs with hay at moment too, i got attacked putting my hand into the bag... that bag is now aside and ready to bring into work and dispose of grrrr

I was talking to the owner of the pet shop I use yesterday when I was looking for some hay and he said to be careful as sometimes there were thistles in with the hay grrrr I bought some Oxbow Timothy hay instead of the cheap stuff and piggies love it! Bit pricey though :(
 
Oh that looks the same as whats through my hay. I keep getting stabbed by it and have to check the pigs hay thoroughly now and remove the nasties .... but have just bought some new fab hay.
Hope she's gonna be okay.
