I should introduce them properly

. They all live together in a 2x6 C&C cage with fleece.
Violet (along with her late mother Rosie) was my first guinea pig. We adopted her in November 2013 from the Queensland Guinea Pig Refuge along with her mother when she was only 5 weeks old. Rosie (Violet's mother) was rescued pregnant from a free range situation and was always very shy and skittish because of it. She is currently 7 years and 8 months old (she'll be 8 in October). She has never been a very dominant piggy and has a very gentle nature. She loves her pats and cuddles. She is an English Crested and agouti of some sort with an orange stripe down her back. She unfortunately, has many health problems (arthritis, kidney failure, bone cancer), but maintains a surprising zest for life

.
Daisy was adopted in November 2017 after Rosie's passing. She was about 5/6 weeks old at the time. She is currently 3 years and 8 months old (she'll be 4 in October). She, on the other hand, is extremely dominant and full of energy for her age. It took 3 failed "dates" (including a neutered male and two females) at rescues before we found the perfect match for the girls with Oscar. She loves her chin rubs and cuddles, but is a total drama queen when it comes to picking her up or cutting her nails

.
Oscar was adopted only recently in May 2021. He is also 3 years and 8 months old (we suspect he's slightly younger than Daisy). He was rescued from a free range situation in 2018: his owners had previously kept him in a tiny bird cage but then released him into the yard and was eating the veggies in their garden. He was fortunately rescued. It's sad he spent so much time at the rescue without finding a home (not sure why, he's such a sweet boy), but I'm glad we got the chance to welcome him into our home

. He is a very sweet boy and loves his pats. He is a bit skittish, but has since become calmer after much patience. He loves his cage and runs around doing their happy little squeaks all the time.
