ok.Are you in the uk? If recommend looking at the rescue locator to find your boy a compatible friend, that would help somewhat with taming him if he’s got a friend. Also have you looked at the thread on biting?

You’re welcome, unfortunately he won’t ever be happy on his own.Guinea pigs are group animals and not wired to be on their own.Even I didn’t know that when I 1st had guinea pigs.A lot of the rescues that this forum recommends do something called boar dating where they will try your pig with a few different pigs until he chooses one that he likes and wants to live with.thank you very much but is there other options than buying anther one

would u recommend a female or male ?You’re welcome, unfortunately he won’t ever be happy on his own.Guinea pigs are group animals and not wired to be on their own.Even I didn’t know that when I 1st had guinea pigs.A lot of the rescues that this forum recommends do something called boar dating where they will try your pig with a few different pigs until he chooses one that he likes and wants to live with.
Only your pig can decide that lol although he’d have to be neutered to go with a female as finding a spayed sow is like gold dust.would you recommend a female or male ?
Yes it could be.At the moment he’s very frightened and you’re a big scary predator to him, that’s why he’s biting. If he had a friend he would be less frightened.also just wondering could any of this be to do with his behavior
Thank you very much anything I should luck out for when getting another pigYes it could be.At the moment he’s very frightened and you’re a big scary predator to him, that’s why he’s biting. If he had a friend he would be less frightened.
If you do contact a rescue listed on this forum, if they do boar dating which a lot of them do then they will only let you take a new pig home once acceptance has happened and that way all you’d have to do is make sure the cage is disinfected and doesn’t smell of any pig for when you put them both in xThank you very much anything I should luck out for when getting another pig
Thank you , you have helpt me very much and I appreciate x
Also what do we do if my guinea pig dose not get on with any others ?x
