Hi, I have a question about bonding my two pigs. Here's a quick summary of them for context:
Teddy, a boar, is around 10 months old. His brother and only cagemate Loki has recently passed away (a couple of days ago).
I am planning to introduce Teddy to Noah, a 4 year old boar. Noah is currently living on his own but he had previously lived in the same cage as Teddy and Loki. They never fought, but Noah was dejected and unhappy with the two brothers around him so they were separated. Noah has lived on his own for a few months now.
If the introduction does not go well and the boars fight, would it still be okay to allow them to live in the same cage with grids separating them or would it be better to have them completely separated?
