I usually pick mine up the day after but they stay at my mums she loves them as much as i do. I know they have someone there all the time and they're loved. Thats the most important thing.

I think that was the case here. She knew they were being well looked after. She definitely wants to find them a new home though. Says no-one really bothers with them anymore. :(

The bunnies went to their new home today! :) A lovely home has been found for them with someone who has kept bunnies all her life and loves them so much! :)

That's good news - that must be a relief for you, I know they weren't yours, but I bet you feel much happier! ;D

She told me on Tuesday that one of the dogs had almost jumped into the bunnies run. At that point I was terrified that they would end up being savaged. I felt as though I should have them, but I know I can't take on anymore. It would be compromising the care I give my own. I happened to mention them to the mum of the children I care for and she told me about someone she works with who is crazy about rabbits. As soon as she heard about them she was on the phone to sort out when she could pick them up.

A happy ending! :) They are going to get the love they deserve! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

my friend did this when i had to look after her demon hamsters ! they were evil - they growled at me - i swear they were saying my name too ;D

she went away for a week and i thought it would be easy looking after them but nooooo - i had to throw the food in as when i would open the door they would charge at me and growl :-\ they cleaning them out i had to put their ball up to the door to get them out - then one of the balls tops came open luckily i spotted it in time and quickly put it back on again.

when she came home she rang and said could she pick them up the following day - i was so happy when they went ::)

oooops sorry missed the other part about her not wanting them anymore 98) :D

glad they got a nice new home ;)

That's great they will be going to somewhere where they will be appreciated. I just can't believe that people find bunnies or piggies a chore :o When we're away we call most nights to see if our lot are okay. Bit of a liberty leaving them with you for extra time though, even if they did eventually pick them up!

do you rush to pick up your animals from whoever has been caring for them while you are away?

I've been looking after some rabbits for a friend who was due back from holiday yesterday. Got a text from her this afternoon to say what a great holiday they have had and how the time has flown by. She then says will it be ok to pick bunnies up tomorrow?

To be honest i'm stunned! I hate to leave my pets and can't wait to see them again, even if I have only been away for a few days!

Thats how i have now got Mr Pig ..i was pigg sitting while they were away for a week ....3 weeks after she was still making up excuses while shecouldnt come n collect him. He went back n 24 hours later i couldnt get him off my mind so i rang her nsaid if you dont want him ..ill be happy to keep him. It took her an hour to drop him off!! :tickedoff: So hes all mine now and very much cherished.
