Hello everyone, I need to explain where I have been for the past 2 weeks.
As everyone knows I had an operation.
Well, it went wrong and I have been kept in hospital for 2 weeks with no internet access to let everyone know I was on the mend until I was allowed home this morning.
I hope no one was worried as to where I was. I am now at home being brought glasses of water by Rob (OH) who is taking extremely good care of me.
What happened was that after the gastric bypass, I was allowed home and collapsed in agony - the stitches in my stomach had burst (I wont go into why) and I got the ambulance to hospital. While there I was taken to intensive care with organ failure I was induced into a coma for 7 days, during that time I had another operation to clean inside and repair the stitches. After 7 days in ITU (intensive care unit) I had taught myself how to move my legs again, how to grip things - pick up and put down a cup of water, for example and how to stand again. I was then moved to a ward for recovering people and it was nice to be out of ITU because the new ward had a tv each to watch.
I have been literally making the jaws drop of the consultant, physiotherapists and dieticians with my progress - I am now walking by myself again and doing things for myself again. The only issue I have now is that my ears haven't popped yet and that I didn't use my muscles for so long, it's easy to tire myself out.
I don't want anyone to be woryying about me, as I said, I am astounding the doctors and physio's with my recovery rate and will be back to normal soon, so... I hope everyone have a Merry Christmas!
Monster sized kisses to all...
