I was told she was texel - there are some better pictures of her on this thread (when I say better, I mean not just of her lady-bits and the things that come out of her lady-bits!)

We have a merino, Peggy, already - they look very similar at the moment but I've read that she won't have the coronet that merino's have. Very cute!

She may just be small - when I bought my first ever guineas from P@H (I know, I know, but it was about 12 years ago and I didn't know better!), one of them was pregnant.

Of course, I didn't know that until I woke up to find 3 babies! (Although I had taken her to the vet about a week before she gave birth as I was worried about her shape and he told me to put her on a diet!)

Anyway, one of the babies was a lot smaller than the others, my sister adopted that one and she was always a tiny pig although very healthy and lived until she was nearly 9!

Thank you - they are adorable aren't they!

I've just been thinking about this and apologies if its a really stupid question but how will I know if she's pregnant by monitoring her weight. It's just that we've had babies before and they've always put on weight alarmingly fast just from normal growth?

Just wondering?

Hi
Just a quick update. Mabel has put on 40g in the last 6 days (now weighing 420g). I just wondered if anyone knew what weight gain is normal for a baby and what weight gain would indicate pregnancy. There must be a chart somewhere online - just wondered if anyone had come across anything like that.

Many thanks, Louise x
