Wishing you and her all the best Claire! I'm so sorry you've had to resort to taking the eye out :( Hopefully she will feel better afterwards as I'm sure that eye must feel very sore. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery! Big hugs for you too. I would bring you a cup of tea and biscuits, but I don't think technology has got that far yet. Hope you're OK.

Thank you.

Eliza has made it through surgery and is currently in recovery at the vets. I can pick her up later but I'm unsure what to expect :( I'm trying to remember that her eye can't look much worse stitched up to what it did before.

Please wish her a speedy recovery x

Many Speedy recovery vibes on their way to Eliza. It will be odd to begin with, but you will soon get used to it. x

Glad surgery has been a success, lots of healing vibes to Eliza x x

Thank you. Eliza is now home and the vet is pleased with how the surgery went.

She can go back in the shed (in the hospital cage) in a few days and back with her friends out of the cage in a couple of weeks as the wound heals.

Eliza is eating slowly and drinking but I expect she's sore.

I must admit, her eye doesn't look as horrific as I imagined and shes's still beautiful x

Claire, of course she's beautiful - you know how much I love her. And she will feel so much more comfortable once she's over the surgery itself. It's not horrible to see, is it. I'm so pleased she's home, and eating and drinking.

Sending lots of love to you both.

She has some red discharge coming from the incision which doesn't look nice but the vet said it is just discharge from the tissue which is normal? It's not a lot but doesn't look nice where it has stained her fur :(

I am so pleased to hear that the operation went well and that you have got your beautiful little girl back home.

I bet she is still a little stunner even with a stitched up eye!

Sending lots of healing vibes and hope that she is back to her old self really soon.

Lots of love, hugs and squeaks from me, Bon Bon and Biscuit xx

Thank you everyone.

She is ok in herself but her eye is weeping slightly today :( Shes had her post op check in which the vet was pleased with her. She's to go back next week unless I'm concerned in the meantime x

Thank you :)
How is Bon Bon getting on? Did her eye weep at all after the op? xx

That's good news Claire, I would imagine it is to be expected to have a weepy eye - What did the vet say about it? Healing vibes and lots of love to her x

That's great news, my dog had to have her eyes stitched up for 2 months to help heal an ulcer and that used to weep so I know how awful it looks. Glad she is on the mend :)

I had to take Eliza back to the vets tonight after she started bleeding from her nose :(Thankfully the vet says it's just discharge that has built up and it's better out than in. Eliza feels skinnier too but has only lost 50g so I don't understand it.Eliza is back at the vets on Monday. She is such a worry :( x
