Worried about Ellen 😢 Healing vibes please

Maybe Ellen just had a flare up like Dot does. She loses weight during these times, then makes up for it

Thank you all. Yes @Skypipdot I too imagine that she had a flare. My vet just put her back on septrin as she found a bit of bacteria when she span her urine sample. How much does Dot lose when she has a flare? I hate IC :(

She goes between 1020g and has dropped to 920g before. She starts to feel fin round the ribs, then puts it all on again. I havnt weighed her in a while. Now she competes for veg with Bernie, shes a greedy veg monster

That’s good to know. Like I say, she was 1200g this time last year but I’m fine with her hovering around 1000g now my vet has checked her over again just last week. It’s when she drops below I worry but that’s when her flare was bad

I worry too when dots weight gets low, thinking its going to drop to the 800's but never has. Dots appetite goes bad on flare ups of i.c . Does Ellens?

No, she still seems to eat although they've both seem to have gone off pellets at the minute. How old is Dot again?
Mine went off pellets over xmas so i changed them from harringtons back to ss selectives. Dot will be 3 in march

Aww bless her. She's exactly a year younger than Ellen who will be 4 in March. I'd change their pellets but I have 8 bags of harringtons. Still, I guess they'll eat them if they're hungry

Yea they should do. Just noticed co - op sell harringtons . But its £4.50 lol

Grrr, we dropped a urine sample in at the vets this morning. She’s just rang and Ellen still has some blood and bacteria in her urine so I’m to carry on with the septrin and metacam. At least she’s fine in herself, it’s just so frustrating. Problem is, the bacteria isn’t showing on the urine test stick, just when it’s being span so it really is mild

Oh dear, at least it's been found! Good to hear she's still fine in herself ☺️

How frustrating Claire.
But it sounds like you are managing to keep it under control, and Ellen is holding her own.
Both of you are doing a great job.
