Adult Guinea Pig
Thank you @flintstones for your kind words - I did read them before I went to the vet and was glad I did.
Sadly I felt I had to let Pringle go - I had a long talk to the vet about options and prognosis and it was all dire to be honest. And the vet (who knows him well as we have been there a lot in recent months) said that Pringle is tough and stocial and so hiding pain more than most guinea pigs making the decisions even harder
. He was eating cucumber right until the last moment and went to sleep in my arms. If he had been a soldier, he would have been the last one left defending his outpost just so brave. Sleep well Pringle.
