i finally got paid properly at work, so i decided to build a c+c for the boys! :D

ordered the cubes, and the correx, and went to P@H to pick up some new toys and hidey holes for them :smitten:

theyre going to be so spoilt this week! i cant wait to get it set up for them! at the min theyre in a nero 3, and ive wanted to get them something better for ages, i cant wait to put them in their new cage! i hope all the bits arrive soon so i can get to work on building it :smitten:

Hiya,

That's great! Where did you get all your bits from? I've got £30.00 saved up for mine need to wait a couple of weeks for more funds!

ordered the c=c grids from screwfix, although i wasnt too impressed with the postage price, but i suppose they are heavy

and i bought correx from ebay

it cost about £40ish for those, then i spent £12 on new beds, food bowls, pigloos etc

Ah great thanks! :) We have a Screwfix shop in Liverpool so will be getting mine there without postage. If they don't have them in I'll see if I can order them in and will collect. I'm so tight! :D

I think £60 should do it for what I want to do.

Good luck with yours send some pics when you are done! :)

so happy! my c+c cubes arrived today :D

also screwfix robbed me, theres 1 grid missing >:( but oh well i still have enough.

just have to wait for my correx to turn up now :D spending today moving my room round and setting up th cubes :)

Lol! don't set it up with your OH you will fight lol! well i did with mine! everytime we put one grid in about 4 popped out of the connectors >:( was fun though! and it looks huge once it's done! What size are you making? They'll love it, mine were in a nero3 and they went mad in their C&C x

hehe mine are in a nero 3 at the minute. I'm building at least a 4 by 2, but then I'm gonna see what grids ive got left to work with, for adding more :)

thanks for the advice on putting it together, ill do it myself lol O0

My girls are in a 4x3, they love it and my boy is in a 5x2 but only uses about 2 grids worth of space lol bless him! Good luck they will love it! O0 x

its finished!

my correx arrived at 1pm, so i spent all day building the cage for them :D it ended up being 5x2, takes up most of my room lol. theyre exploring it now, and bob found the hay corner i made and loves it :D put a spare grid up to seperate a corner, and filled it with hay for them to play in :D

wow it looks great! O0 gald you had enough grids for a 5x2 even though they robbed you of a grid lol! bet they love it! x

thanks :) hehe, if they hadnt robbed me of a grid, i would have been able to do a 2nd floor but couldnt with it missing.

the boys are a bit jumpy but i think theyre not used to the big open space, and being on the floor, as before they were on top of a chest of drawers, but they seem to be enjoying it :D

the hay corner no longer has any hay in it lol

LOL doing a bit of moving to their tastes eh?

Looks really good wish I had the space for a C+C....

hehe they sure are!

it took a lot of rearranging to fit the cage in my room! lol

Lol! they will have rearranged their furniture by tomorrow! Mine always do it! i read somewhere that we should move things around to keep them entertained but they do it themselves! Nothing stays where i put it! I would ring screwfix and complain about that grid you know! You never know they may send you a free box as an 'apology' type thing! If macdonalds give u 5 nuggets instead of 6 you get a box free so may be the same at screwfix ;D x

;D thats a good idea! lol.

when i go to bed ill be listening fo furniture moveing lol. bob doesnt really move stuff, but munchie is terrible for it!

both piggies seem to lone the hay corner i made! they just curl up in the huge pile of hay, and nap and chew at the same time :D

munchies curled up in there right now, it looks like a huge piggy nest! lol

:smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: awwwwwww love the setup Lez O0
LOL the hay bed ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D
I bet they're gonna have a ball during the night, you might have to feed them earlier than usual :D :D :D :D

thanks glynis :D
hehehe, when i fed them earlier gave them corn on the cob, bob was being brave and eating the leaves from the bowl, but munchie was being a wimp and settled for the cob, and dragged it into the pigloo :D could just see this bright yellow corn cob wiggling in the doorway as he munched it ;D

i think i may have to put extra hay in tonight, with the rate they are getting through it lol. i bought a different hay from usual and they love it hehe

;D ;D ;D @ bobbing piece of corn awwwwwww Munchie
You're gonna need to buy a bale of hay the rate your going with these boys ;D ;D ;D

hehe, i just found a new shop on the market in town that sells bags of really nice fresh hay for only 85p each!!

so i have a cheap supply of hay now! which is a good thing considering how much theyre getting through, dont know how i'd cope if i was still spending £2 a bag!

wow that's great for hay! mine love the hay too, it's the only thing they'll shout for, luv it more than veg really! Lol that's funny about the cob! I think piggies tend to like eating in the comfort of their own homes ;D x

hehe yeah bob prefers hay over food anyday ;D

munchie seems to be a food hoarder, he collects loads of food in his bed away from bob, and just sits in bed munching it all once hes collected enough! ;D

bob doesnt care where he eats as long as he has food ;D

hehe, big boy bob is popcorning all round the cage! i think hes starting to like the new cage :smitten:

awwwwwwwwwwww go Bob :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Munchie sounds a bit like our Sully (RIP) he loved to take food and hide it away ::) ::) ::)

Duke does it too sometimes, but ends up sitting on it and then of course it ends up with poo on it ::) :P

hehehe bob does that sometimes, takes food, half eats it, then decides to take a nap on it, and poops on it ::)

i think its going to be a noisy night lol. bobs still being typical dominant piggy, and munchie is running round making the funny piggy noises and moving furniture ;D

well so far ive found out they like hay,and dont like ceramic food dishes! ;D

::) fuss pots ;D ;D ;D

I've got a metal bowl for water and pellets, but plastic lids off icecream for Duke's veggies and fruit. He loves to pull them closer to his hidey so he can munch whilst hiding and resting ::) ;D ;D ;D
