My best tip for wriggly piggies is make sure you have a dish of cornflour at hand and a towel to mop up the blood. When you are on a diet, but you see your favorite junk food:

Don't mind the nails, I'm going to cut them but have been putting it off![]()
Any nail cutting tips for wriggly piggies? My other girl, Stella, is very quick!![]()
What makes it even harder is that Stella has three black paws!My best tip for wriggly piggies is make sure you have a dish of cornflour at hand and a towel to mop up the blood.
You will almost certainly nick at least one quick due to an untimely wriggle!
The nails are trimmed – surprisingly Clover was the only one who bled, just a few drops from one toe. Glad that's over!
So, has anyone here heard about the infamous Celery War? No?!It's very important history, let me tell you about it.
It started on a beautiful day after floor/feeding time. I noticed there were two chunks of celery left over, so I put them up on the piggies' loft. Clover scampered up, claimed one, and took it into the loft hide. Stella followed, completely ignored the second piece and tried to take Clover's. Clover raised her bum threateningly and Stella got the point, she ran back down and ate some hay. After a while, Clover came to eat hay also. Stella, seeing her opening, ran up and started nibbling Clover's abandoned celery, but soon Clover decided she that had had enough hay and started up the ramp. Stella didn't even turn around. She just raised her bum and let fly. Clover jumped backwards into the clear, but guess who the pee hit!Me!
I had no idea they could shoot pee over foot and a half!
Uh, I think I'll just leave for a while and let you two calm down. . .
I came back a couple minutes later and somehow they had switched positions..? Clover was in the loft hide chomping celery chunk 1 and Stella was downstairs eating hay. Then Stella came up the ramp, ignored celery chunk 2 () and shoved her way into the loft hide. There was lots of squeaking coming from that hide. Stella grabbed the celery and exited the hide, whacking Clover on the bum with it in the process. Poor Clover jumped a mile, while Stella rolled the celery down the ramp and triumphantly began dining. A very confused and dejected Clover came out the back door of the loft hide, and I picked up celery chunk 2 and gave it to her. The Celery War had ended.
There, now do you see why I told you about it? It clearly shows how dangerous guinea pigs are! Pee shooters, celery clubs – who knows what they could do to us?!![]()
